Yes ,And I was not knocking coaches for their time spent just making a point about another post .sometimes it's nor the time spent but spending it wisely .I have seen some of the top teams and kids in their rooms and seen my own in them and on those teams there and I have worked with some good kids outside of the wrestling room and incorporated some of those good habits and training /warm up techniques in when I help kids or when they trained with mine and IT WORKS seeing Austin and his training partner both in finals at NHSCA one year at 220 and Austins training partner on his team go from not placing to state finals the next yr I think there IS a smarter way and a lot more things that need to be done to overcome other states and their advantages the problem is will coaches and dad's be smart enough to understand and listen and will kids carry through with it .I'm no great coach by any means but I could take 20 kids from scratch as youths and wipe out every team in the country within a few years .NO BS

Not many coaches I know spend 250 days a year with their wrestlers .I would like to know 10 in the whole state or 10 in any other for that matter that DO .seems ky gets some D1 guys each yr and a lot of NAIA because of the in state teams that are very very good in that div.Dont think its Hurting I do think it could be tougher and there is some in squabbling that hurts the state a bit .The FEAR of freestyle and greco does hurt the state a bit to be honest I think it's as much the coaches faults as it is the kids if Coaches We're out there 250 days a yr and not afraid of working out of their comfort zone the sport would grow .

Yes Stephen lost 2 close ones there last yr to Heffernon who won the open . Not many kids would be wrestling at all with the injuries he had last yr added to the ones he has already had .No one there any Braver than him he will adjust and overcome . SAW TESSARI Reuschell match Tessari looks as if he could drop but who knows.TJ looked a lot bigger to me .and Tessari needs a Haircut but so do I so to each their Own..Kind of Shocked Austin goes 5 and 1 and has no matches on flo Haines goes 2 n 2 and has 3 I think Chaconis dnp and Austin totally dominated the guy who knocked Chaconis out and their match is on there Chaconis in a few lol I saw 4 of Austins matches two were totally unreal he wrestled smart strong and perfect what he had to do to come back .Not sure why the only guy in class with as many wins as him was the winner And Austin was the only true freshman to place in his classs.Best he has ever wrestled coming off a not so good week at the Hokie but a great one the previous week before that ,I think he is working things out and rather quickly looking forward to seeing him in a year I think he will contend for an AA spot as rs fresh and go on from there .of course I'm Bias or am I just going off of his performances

Yeah he hit a stud right off the eventual runner up had the lead got taken down and turned haven't seen him pinned since about 3rd or 4th grade .hard to stop a 6 5 monster but he did after that never prouder of either of my boys

ALL THESE YOUNG WRESTLERS ARE WARRIORS AT HEART some will express themselves differently and most will change from time to time just different ways of dealing with the stress of their desires .I would rather take a bullet than lose some people are different I think AJ would rather take a bullet JMO

Proud of TJ he has gotten so much better since HE and he was good then have to say he's the sharpest Ky wrestler in college right now .great kid

So much for him running from people he just entered one of the toughest college opens in the country and passed on the fresh soph class that had a finalist who couldn't place in a tournament he won and who he has Teched and lost his first match and came back to win out .All heart the best period soon to be kys best ever at every level .Anyone watching him tonight would agree he already IS

Sure he was on the bottom of the bracket the second place finisher just above him and the eventual sixth placer above that person .worst draw possible as the best you can do if you lose before semis is fifth and six he was winning his first match then got taken down and pinned by the eventual runner up .came back had one bye then rattled off 5 wins two against monsters one a 6 foot 5 Wisconsin wrestler another in the 5th place match against a big kid who beat chackonis the dapper Dan heavy winner two matches earlier to knock him out Austin ahead two to one after a quick td in the first gets another td puts kid straight on his back and gets the pin at 127 of the first .gets fifth in the OPEN as a true fresh .He wrestled extremely well and surprised even me kind of .He is without a doubt one of the best freshman in the country and has the biggest heart of any wrestler out there . HE WILL BE A MULTIPLE X A A in college he's freaking incredible .There you go as you can see I am happy and he wore his team KY singlet kid he pinned for fifth has a win against WVs starter last yr Austin will be ready when his time comes .

Have to disagree somewhat .I saw a kid wrestle his first ever high school match have his opponent forfeit without him or his coach ever seeing him wrestle a single day .without the Internet no one would know half what they do if that about their opponents .

It's all good ,best t for kids not to say a word and let others do the talking debating and whatever it keeps everyone liking them for their efforts respect and talent ,the hype is fine just know that you back it up or get the backlash even though you will get backlash either way win or lose .Can't see him going without a title either way .If you want to make a statement make it with a devastating pin move or win

And oh yeah wildcat check out flow and that semis match and Austins finals match from this past weekend against that top ten ranked kid and then tell us who's the best hahahahahahahaha

Like to see Belk wrestle that would be awesome ,the Laughter is from a few twitter posts I saw this weekend where a kid was making rhymes about beating another kids butt beyond confidence and arrogance pretty over the top stuff , I must say I commend them on the mind play ,If you can make yourself believe that's great but if you can make everyone else believe it that's even better .Most People praise those who do without saying it I however understand the desire to win and the game although in the end between two kids that are good all the talk means very little but it keeps it interesting..After hearing talk last year then witnessing a devastating pin shortly after I would focus more on working the skills game than the mind game though.
