Union County has put together a very competitive 4th-6th grade team for the Minion Duals. We are still looking to fill 160lbs, and 200lbs weight classes. If you are interested please let me know so I can give you more details. The tournament is Dec 28 in Atlanta, GA.

Union County will be hosting:the 2nd Battle of the Brave Middle School and High School JV wrestling tournament Dec 20th, 2014. If intrested please contact Jason Brown @ gavin11403@yahoo.com. We had a great tournament last year the middle school averaged 22 kids per bracket and the JV all got 3-5 quality matches and still finished by 530. Please make sure I have you down to come we are taking the first 29 teams. Last year we had 26 middle schools so spots will be limited. We are still waiting for the following teams roster. Once I get them I can finish up the seeding and begin to build brackets. The tournament is on Trackwrestling and the teams can check their rosters. There may have been a couple of situations that they weren't great but overall they did a good job. The new refs have to start somewhere. I think the bigger problem was with the coaches who were arguing calls from there corner instead of going to the table to ask questions or maybe even take an opportunity to mentor them. I had one incorrect call after the match I showed him why it was wrong call. We have to many coaches going crazy on the new guys and they always quit so we keep having new ones. Keep in mind it is middle school regardless of the talent that was there. You can't leave it to the ref. I had a kid that was pinned and I didn't think it should have been called but my kid did get taken down and did get turned so he put his self in at situation. Great tournament Randy

The tournament is full. Coaches can see the seeds to see if anyone was missed. The brackets are built for coaches to look over and get any corrections to us as soon as possible. As of now there are 3 wrestlers waiting to see if there are any scratches. Brackets may change slightly and won't be Final until Sat. morning.

I think this will be over by 600. Once I get all the rosters I will make mat assignments and it will give me a better idea. Last year we had about this many at Battle of the Brave. We were finished by 530 and we started about an hour late because some teams were late because it was raining so bad it

Big tournaments around KY North Hardin 14 Nov Woodford 22 Nov East Oldham 6 Dec Union County 20 Dec Walton Verona 3 Jan 5 big tournaments all around the state that have at least 2 if not more of the teams that you mentioned. They are all individual so you don't have to have a big team.

All those teams will be at my tournament Dec 20. If you want in I will fit you in. The biggest problem I have noticed is people complain about not being able to get in the tournaments then when they have an opportunity they find a reason they can't make it.
