Meade County Would like to do one on Thursday the 18th 5:30 to 7:00.

I was only tracking two from KY. Roger Young Jr (119) from Meade Co. and Ryder Corbin (127) form FT Campbell. They both had very difficult brackets and both went two and out. Each wrestled extremely well and went down swinging. I was actually surprised these were the only two Jr High wrestlers from KY. I thought for sure more would have gone. I can only talk for my son (Roger Jr), He gained allot of knowledge and more respect for the sport. If anything he left more hungry and determined to return next year with a goal to place in the top eight in the Freshman Division. Roger SR.

I have some parents in our Club who are looking at getting some home mats for their wrestlers. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to were thety can get some used or new. Thank You.

What is the difference btween this State Tournament and the State Folkstyle Tournament this weekend at Ferncreek?

Oh Sorry, i thought this was open to Middle Schoolers. That is why I am so confused. If you look at other string/Forums, the ages, birth dates, grades bounce all over the place on this Tournamen t. Was just asking. Will see if there is something eles close by for this weekend.

A little confused on who can and cannot wrestle. My son did not go to State due to a injury at regional’s so he did not place. He did the belt series and went undefeated (9-0) in the 120 School Boy weight class. He was born may 1999 and is a eighth Grader for Meade Co. (Roger Young Jr). We are trying to get him as much mat time prior to him wrestling at the 2013 NHSCA National High & Middle School Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach during Spring Break. Can he enter this tournament?

Congrats on your Wins. Wish i knew about this and would of took Roger Young Jr and some of the other Meade Wrestlers. Congrats again. We are going to the 24th Annual NHSCA National High and Middle School Wrestling Championships in Virgina Beach. Are you all taking any, if so maybe we can meet up. Will point leaders in their individual divisions be listed/identified after this weekends tournamant?

Not to be a pain but just one quick question about being able to move weight classes. So if there is a tie at the end between the 112 and 143 point leaders (Cadet Division) it would go to the number of pins correct? Now, what if the 143 wrestles had 6 less overall matches due to the smaller number of wrestlers in his weight class in return shorting him six less opportunities to get pins and the 112 wins by having more pins. I would think the 143 wrestlers would need to ensure he has the same amount of wrestles in doing so moving himself up a weight class and risking his dominance in the 143 class and not taking the 1st place spot he most likely would have gotten in the 143 class. How is that justified? I would suggest you relook at the tie breaker criteria and switch it around a little and use the fastest pin time first. Then use the number of pins if the fastest pin is the same time which is very unlikely. Statistically I would think this may be a better tie breaker due to the variable of amount of wrestlers in each weight class. Just a suggestion.

I am new to this so can some one confirm this for me. I assume you have to remain in the same weight class at all three events to make a run for the belt in the division correct? Example i would have to wrestle in the Schoolboy 120 division at all three meets.

Am i hearing right that no remote weigh-ins will be allowed.

Meade County has changed. Remote weigh in will be Thursday 5 to 6 at the Meade Freshman Academy.

Can the board post the bracket updates ASAP. If some alternates get to wrestle i am sure Parents will be on the roads first thing in the morning. Also just heard John Hardin made the trip and is in town. No word yet on central hardin.

With all the Winter Weather and Road conditions i foresee some schools backing out. When and if is there a deadline for the Alternates to be notified if they have been placed on a bracket.
