This may be a post I regret but to me these rankings were just something to put out just to satisfy people to get them off your back. I do not feel that there was a lot of effort that were put into these as various wrestlers that are ranked are out for the season or not wrestling at all and other wrestlers that are ranked that quite frankly shouldn't Be. There are also some wrestlers that should be ranked a few very high that aren't Ranked at all. I promise that I have a great deal of respect for all that you do for this sport and I know that when you put your report out for the regions and the state tournament the results of these rankings will be quite different. I don't know I guess my question to you would be why put these out at all if you know in your heart you didn't give your best effort? I still thank you for all you do for this great sport ! Sorry my grammar is so bad on this post as I'm posting from my phone. I know when the Ranger report comes it will be top notch and no one can do it like you can. Respectfully submitted.

In this tournament the 182s are the strongest class. I wouldn't say that the 182s are the hardest but in my opinion its the deepest weight class I've said this kids name a few times Ben Leaton in the 182 beat Frankrone and proved he's a force to contend with the others so much depends on the draw. Every weight class is tough at the horse park.

good matches throughout the day The 182 will in My opinion be the best class overall with 3 top 12 guys who all have beaten each other. The 113s could be good as well. I like Fern Creek for the team title. As always an individual competition I'll look for some upsets in most weight classes. If you're 170 this is a good shot to win a championship with none of the top ranked guys in there

You've never done this for the money. You do it because you love the sport and your knowledge and breakdowns far exceed of what other including myself try to do. Last year we had a comittee of coaches and everything else and you single handidly out did us lol.... Your rankings set the standards so to speak however I do know your involvement with the middle schools is your passion and you get rest then fire up for regionals and state etc. I look forward to seeing what you put out and certainly appreciate everything you mean to this sport. I am huge fan of Trevor Thompson with him and his family it will be a showdown between him and Darius Parrot from North Hardin . Parrots the real deal and a bag of chips too ....

My pick would be WYatt Courtney 182 is a minefield , I had thought Smith would not be so lucky as to be the clear num 1 with it being so close but he has shown he wins the close ones , he has to be considered the favorite , that said any of those four can win , Mathews is a beast a two sport standout Wyatt and Smith are so llikeable it sucks either might lose and not knowing Frankrone but simply seeing him at the rumble he makes a big impression probably has the least experience but the most potential . It will be a fun class to watch assuming they are all still 182 . 170 I have no clue Meiman may be ranked 1 but who knows he has a different style that keeps him in there so he can win it all . 195 , if Thompson wrestles as he did in Conference he's a lock .

And let's face it even the locks besides Boston and Austin Myers anyone could pull an upset as we found out last year. Not likely but always a possibility.

there are so many weight classes that are up in the air yes I think Fausz and Atm are locks for 6. Union has possible 2 locks in Blackwell and Ervin. Boston lock 120 region 3 I think both lampes win for region 4 but 106 113 145 170 182 195 and heavy are to close to call. Frankrone and Mikey Smith are not locks for region 4 especially when you have wYatt Courtney 5 and Eli Matthews 6 sitting there. 170 could go to meiman/turner 6 Ryder 1 Emerson from oldham. 195 u have parrot but u also have Thompson and Miller from 6. Young in the heavy but 106 and 113 and 145 could go to a few regions . To close to call really I think it will be pretty balanced this year. Region 6 won't dominate but neither will 4 or 1

In the 170's meiman and Ryder will be great match probably the match of the day slight edge to meiman and some decent 182 in Ryan wolf from Ryle HaywooD and bowling and Conway should battle For the championship all ranked guys from 10th to 20th I'll predict wolf and Haywood with a slight edge to wolf another contender for the 182 title will be on Farris from John hardIn who just dropped from 195

The the number of schools that offer wrestling in Kentucky high schools that is is still only one tenth of how many schools offer wrestling in ohio pennsylvania illinois california georgia The list goes on and on and to think with that many wrestlers just from the limited number of schools is amazing from the state of kentucky. it just shows Kentucky has great coaching and dedicated wrestlers

I think those are called nationals lol... I know what you mean but it would be impossible to get something like that sanctioned let alone trying to determine a location but Kentucky would do very well with not just Boston but Austin Myers whom I believe would win as well and possible many others could place etc....Would be exciting to watch but impossible to try ro put together because states like Michigan to have different weight classes and so many other factors that come into play.. Maybe in the future someday an event like this may happen in all high school sports but isn't reality today. Fun to dream though . Kind of like a March Madness wrestling tournament !

Thats good hopefully the list of teams will be about the same. That list features some very strong brackets in just about all the weight classes. The 170's and 182's feature at least half the top 10 . Over half in the 182s 7 out of the top 10 and 5 of the top 10 in the 170's from my rankings anyway . No matter what rankings you look at , you place in the top 4 in this one you've earned it lol . Looking forward too seeing your kids wrestle ! Remember the list is last years list but from checking schedules it looks like all the teams with the above listed numbers will be there this year.

hopefully the 1 inch of snow tomorrow Night will not cancel the tournament I could see an hour delay maybe start wrestling at 10 and get er done I'm just crossing my fingers for the best. these kids work too hard have things taken away from them and there's not many tournaments left before regionals grrr I also realize that its not Anyone's fault this weather Bites !!!! I do think schools will be in session tomorrow on Friday so hopefully that helps
