One heck of a tourney is my prediction. Will also be interested to see who wrestles at what weight with the 126's and the 170's being so strong but remember Walton isn't in this conference which is a shame for region 6 fans.

Yes he (Steele) took 8th last year . I look for him to have a fantastic year. He won the 195 division at the Derby classic but he will be back at his 182 weightclass by the NKAC if not sooner.

You're right about 1 thing Steele is tough but your underestimating Braden Jones. He's a beast and works extremely hard. I never say a kid won't make it because I'm nothing but positive but if Meiman goes to 160 Braden Jones will knock off one of the above 4. He's 12-1 right now only losing to a kid I think that has a legit shot to win it all at 170 although with Lane Jones in the mix now it does make it a very interesting weight class at 170 for the state title. Taylor is fine at 126. He finished runner up at the Derby Classic and looked great doing it. I also believe there will be some movement in that class (170) from all around the state including region 6. Look for some kids to move in weight classes either down to 160 or go to a heavier division because there is so much talent in this region. I'm looking forward to NKAC Dec 22 it will tell alot.

The khsaa is always way behind other states. If they would just add a scoreboard to update each match as each region progresses it would be so much easier on everyone. It's not this sites fault. This site and the rankings are pout together by ones that love wrestling and put out as much information as they can. Write a letter to the khsaa asking for the scoreboard as they have in 90% of most the sports. Get on the ball khsaa !

Do you know if it's 3 rounds of the winners brackets ? Or is it 2 rds of winners and 1 consolation round. Thanks very much for your help !

Have you seen him lately ? If it's been awhile you'll be in shock he's 6-0 maybe 6-1 and and he's flat put together and ripped. The kid does nothing but work out. He will be a state contender before he graduates from work ethic alone. Wishe he still did wrestle with alot of his Ockerman teammates. They would be state contenders at any school.

There not a team contender this year they just have a few outstanding wrestlers. Hopefully those kids can get more kids out from the hallways and build a nice program such as SK, CC, Ryle etc

The Jones kid is on fire of late finishing runner up at the North Oldham Mustang classic defeating the 12th ranked kid in the state and losing in the finals think it was 6-4 to the kid ranked 8th. He's also won the Derby classic out of Louisville and The South Dearborn tourney in Indiana 3 weeks ago. He also pinned Matthews from CC when they wrestled 2 weeks ago so I look for this to be one great match up good as any during the tourney I still pick Chamblee to win the 170 . Thanks for these great rankings . I can't even imagine the time and efforts on putting these together. I'd like to see Braden Jones of Boone County ranked at least in the top 25 somewhere in the 170 pound class. He's won the Derby classic out of Louisville, The South dearborn tourney in Indiana as well as finishing 5th in the Capitol City classic with a record of 28-12. Other notable pins came against Campbell County and Ryle and has not lost to either all season. Thanks
