We could break down every weight class but I don't care what weight you wrestle at. The state is tough to place at any weight class. I really believe that there is alot of parody and on any given match with talented wrestlers anyone can win. I look for some of the region 2 seeds to bounce back and have a strong state showing and or possibly win it much like Lane Jones did in the 170's last year. Only I thik this year there's several 2's and 3's that can do very very well ! Good luck to all. Hope Hope Emerson is ok. He helps Oldhams team get quite a few points but more importantly as coach mentioned above concussions can be serious and I hope the young man bounces back and is ok.

Why would miller go to 182 next year? Just curious really . He'd be easily the number 1 guy at 195 next year.

I know your a huge miller fan and I give him props I'm a region 6 guy lol but I'm telling you morrow is very good. I watched him in person for 3 hours and he will put up a major fight against miller Thompson and parrot.

I agree about the 2nd rds and quarters of the 182's ......they will be extremely good matches. there's so much depth....I believe Smith from Moore and Courtney have seperated themselves a bit from the pack .. but there's some strong guys in there that could catch anyone ! and not just 1 or 2 .. I mean 7 or 8 lol or even more up to 10-12 honestly

the 160s a kid to watch out for not ranked anywhere !!!! Cecil Evels from Wayne County.. The kid will finish top 5 and that's strong !!!

I know this kid isn't on anyone's radar .... With all the talk about Trevor Thompson, Eli Miller and Dariius Parrot in the 195's .. Parrot is a stud who is a great kid and is going to be tough to beat.. of the 3 Miller has improved the most.. Trevor is a beast who has alot more technique than most give him credit for.. but..... here's my off the radar pick and I don't think I've seen this kids name mentioned anywhere on here when talking about 195's.... Devin Morrow from Wayne County is the I'd say the states most improved wrestler... I was with him for about 3 hours at a practice at a college facility and I can assure you the kid has flat worked hard and there's a reason he's undefeated including 2 tech wins over macintosh from Oldham....It would not shock me to see Morrow win the 195's at the horsepark..... He's strong, quick and is determined and I look forward to watching these 4 go at it down state ! Morrow you heard it here first .. trust me he's very good !!

I'd hardly consider Dodd beating Shacklet an upset..... Dodds very good.... He's beaten Leaton twice who beat Frankrone..... Leaton has also pinned Shacklet 3 times and Braden Jones pinned Leaton last Saturday and him and Dodd have battled every match... There's about 10 guys in the 182s who on any given match could beat each other.....The 182's are deep and very good... I'm not really sure of the kids name but if you're talking about the heavy from Nelson County yes I do believe he could handle Young this year ATM Austin Myers won't get beat by Mueller . Muellers good though

lol navy ... I'm just a realist ...... Seriously I'll be shocked if anyone scores on him.... If you're talking about Mueller he's a super nice kid whose a great wrestler......but no he won't score on Myers .... They've wrestled twice at NKAC and yes he was pinned twice easily by Myers..... Mueller is good though and more importantly a great kid..... but Austin is nationally ranked probably should be nationally ranked #1...If you haven't seen him wrestle then maybe I understand. You have to see him or work out with him to understand what I'm talking about. The kid deadlifts 600 pounds and moves like a cheetah... He's that good. Yes he's the cream of the crop..... and ice cream and yogurt on the side...

This is high school sports... this is about all the kids.....this isn't vegas.... but if there was a betting board geeze i'd like to find oldhamwrestling and navywrestler to make umm side popcorn bets lol..... You guys must live in boxes... Austin Myers won't be touched and I'll be shocked literally shocked I repeat if anyone actually even scores on him.. and by scoring on him I mean a takedown, a reversal....not where he lets them up and gives them a point. Yes he's that good......I've seen most the 220's this year and unless someone flew in from Califiornia last night and somehow the khsaa said sure he can wrestle.. It's no disrespect to any of the kids out there.... ATM is just a wrecking machine.... My nephew is a strong kid I mean very strong.... He worked out with ATM and said he might as well been working out with an SUV that was stuck.. I'll be shocked if any kid even actually comes at Austin........It may look good on paper to you guys but once they clinch with him.. the only thing his opponents will do the rest of the match is take steps backwards and I don't blame them... and why don't you say his name about who your talking about ?

Agreed. I saw the middle state awards and copies of brackets to the champ... there ceromony ...... someone needs to send a video of that to the khsaa. They won't do anything though it's all about the dollars. Wrestling is the hardest sport to stand out . I'm glad there at least starting to get a little respect from around the nation in rankings and media attention and no one looks at Kentucky's wrestling as a joke anymore. We've come along way and it's owed to all those that love the sport.

Jackson moving to 152 made it interesting. He an Belk should have a great match...... YAou're right Tarzan so many kids deserve the right to go to the horsepark.... regardless of the fiasco down there it's still the Kentucky state tourney something these kids have worked many for years for this opportunity. good picks by both you and Tarzan the only difference is I see are in the heavy I still see Johnson from Dixie winning it and Sinclair getting 2nd. 182 I see Matthews then braden Jones then I'll take gage Jones over Woolf in the consolation final I see meiman_turner-hicks and hunter bailey in the 170s ..don't be surprised if schoerer..from Boone gets the 3 spot in the 160s ...vaske 113 and Shipman 195 from Boone have shots at the 4th spot for state and ahmad.hamadian should get the 3rd spot at 220 from boone.....look for Austin Jackson from Dixie and Bailey cooper to have a great match to see who gets to the finals against Brown In the 145s..I I hate typing on a phone lol I do see Trevor Thompson over miller In a good final in 195s
