    HR 2751 has passed the Senate and House. Under the guise of "food safety" it will essentially put small farmers, co-ops and farmer's markets out of business so that we will have to buy all our food from Monsanto. Protecting the big corporations as usual. Our only hope is an Obama veto. If you don't believe me, read about it yourself.

    1983 Heavyweight State Champ Phil Shipp has passed. If I remember correctly, he wrestled one year for J-town and was state champion.

    Thanks for the info GOO. I played football with Phil and Larry, but I didn't remember him wrestling before his senior year. I worked in the courthouse with Phil in the 90's. He was a Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff and was a great guy.

    I have had two friends die this week due to heart issues. My generation is the first generation that could get a 1500 calorie meal of fat on any corner. I think this has something to do with it.

    OMG here is a tip for making the most incredible milkshakes: Use BOILED CUSTARD instead of milk!!! I discovered this by reading the ingredients of BC. It is just "unfrozen" ice cream. Made a shake with it. Unreal!

    Franklin County has no seniors, and only 1 junior this year. 3 sophomores placed at state. The sophomores and freshmen have been wrestling since 5th grade. The middle school program has placed first in regionals two years in a row and had a state champ at 71 lbs this year. The coaches are young and very dedicated.
