  1. He has tried that the 2 previous times. Dake is just so good at not getting out of position if he does somehow speed it up dake will find a way to turn it in to a scramble.. Lets go kyle!! 4x

  2. Well I will agree to disagree with your opinion of dake, and I agree that should be in the rulebook but its not that I know of. But having wrestled my whole life, over 24 years from middle school thru college that's the way I have always seen it called. Is it fair depends on who you ask I guess.. I guess the best thing to hope for is a rematch next year.

  3. I love watching kyle dake wrestle have since I first saw him at senior nationals, and I really don't believe he stalled in his finals match. If you want to see stalling watch his semi s match. Dake is just really good at defending everything. He was far and away the aggressor until his contact was knocked out.

  4. Dake is my favorite wrestler of all time.. the reason Oliver wasn't awarded a takedown was he didn't get his head out and climb to the hips, in order to get a takedown in the middle of the mat you gotta cover the hips, the out of bounds line you can get it by covering the ankles.. heck of a match either way, good job stieber..

  5. Pat banks was one of the guys I was thinking about, along with Luke troxell. He was a runner up as a freshman and ended up being a 5 time placer also Cant forget Shawn hull either. The year banks lost to Ervin in the finals josh Cooper was also a senior, a multiple time state placer and runner up as a 8th grader..

notes..like to commend coach brown at whitley county for a job well done, he seems to be building a program the right way, and they keep getting more and more competitive.. also region 8 is most likely the most competetive region in the state for 215s this year.. i see jones as the most likely to get upset..

  9. staten is a good wrestler and maybe the biggest heavyweight that ive seen this year, the one thing that i think holds him back is the ability to last 6 mins. every match that goes the distance seems to be the ones he comes up short on.

  10. no zack salyers? pretty sure he will place top 2 at 145. the 215 from johnson beat jones at region duals so im pretty sure he will be in the mix also. this year will be a interesting regional 8 tourney for the 215s.. 5 good wrestlers at that weight, somebody is going home dissappointed

  11. that was also LAST year.. most of these kids put alot of work in in the off season, im willing to say that all of the top 8 are far different wrestlers than they were at this time last year..
