I in no way said that Ruschell was classless away from the mat or coaching. I think highly of him as a person. I know he must be a great father and coach because of the way his children and atheletes represent themselves. As for this forum, I believe the thread is Campbell County - Ryle Dual, and no where does Woodford County or the Carrs fall under that category. Next time you jump to conclusions and put your two cents in, maybe you should head your own advice! Thanks

Different level! Different expectations! College wrestlers are paid atheletes (most scholarships) who are expected to perform, college coaches are dealing with adults! This disagreement is over. You have your opinion I have mine, neither is wrong or right, I just pointed out what I saw and heard. Thanks for the feedback and good luck to both coaches and teams.

What I saw was an out of control coach who needs to learn where he belongs during a match (in the chair in the corner), instead of on his stomach slapping the mat. I do agree that the team did an awesome job and deserved the win, but like previously stated show some class COACH!!!

Were you at the dual? Between the 220 and Heavy match he was yelling "we do not lose to this team". Then during the heavy match he was lying on his stomach slapping the mat and yelling. I might be a little senial in my old age, but that is what I witnessed. Unless my eyes and ears are completely shot who knows. Anyone back me on this or am I wrong?!?!?!?!

Did anyone see Ruschell's hair flopping and his face turning red when he was yelling "we do not lose to this team". Then lying down on the mat screaming and slapping the mat like he was the one calling the heavy weight match. I understand being intense and wanting your team to win, but my goodness show some class. Win with dignity and lose with dignity. I also cannot stand when a wrestler losses then pouts and rants like the CC heavy did, if he were on my team, he would be GONE!!!!!

I think it was 2000 when Smith wrestled Knable in the semis. Stalling call to allow Knable to have a chance at being a 4x champ. Before all of the hoopla after the call, the match was awesome great takedowns and and scrambles, before scramblng became the norm.

I could sit on my butt, eat cheese puffs, drink Mt dew, and still pin Paul in the first period. Probably pin him in a leg cradle or something like that. I do wish all of those going to super 32 from KY the best of luck!!!!! But, in all seriousness Paul you need to hit the weights!!!! You're arms look like string beans.

Did you ever wrestle in the patriot open?

I think it was back in the mid 90s when they had a major change in the high school weight classes. I can remember all the coaches and atheletes complaining and whinning about how the new weight classes (103-275) were unfair and it would hurt this size kid or that size kid. Well after a season or two everybody stopped waisting time complaining, adjusted their programs and started wrestling. Who cares if an athelete weighs 98lbs and is mad that the new weight class is 106 you have two months get your but in the gym and start putting some muscle on your frame. Same goes for the 205lb guy who is upset cause he has to go 220 instead of 215, Get your but in gear start dieting and working out and get your weight down. People who can't adjust to change are the people who will always be one step behind the competition.

I agree with Pioneer_Pride rankings are garbage no offense Ranger but some of the people never even meet until the state tournament and if they have never wrestled then how can you tell who is better. MOW DAVIS! -
No you cannot get a full ride in wrestling their are 10 starters and 9 scholarships. So not counting the 25 to 40 other guys on the team the coach still has to give the rest of the starters money as well. At Cumberland a "full ride" was 9K, Tuition was 23K so a full ride is not really a full ride anyway. The most Courtney could get would be 9K.

Does anyone know of any teams in NKY looking for a "has been" to help out?

Hear is a trivia question for you. Who beat Brad Cooper and Luke Metzger in 2002?

He wasn't good enough!
