Luke was a good guy and made it his Junior year only because they put King and William Randle in the same side ( wich was a better match than the finals if I remember) but He probably should have won it at some point... He wrestled for many years, as did the Bruce's, Diaz, and Reco Merritt... but all fell short. That reminds me of TJ Iverson.. He acctualy beat Tendi one year during the season but fell short at state as well. Think he lost in the Semis to a Sheldon Clark Wrestler.

Got a feeling there will be a couple of names to add to this list after this weekend is over. There are some very tough weight classes this year.

Over weight is no excuse and dont come here for simpethy... have some disapline.... its not like the good ol days when we could cut 15-20 pounds..... Overwweight is no excuse and its to bad for you that you didnt get to stand up there with the rest of the state placers... Andy Kiper looked very strong Saturday. He was really aggressive the whole match, and you could clearly see that he frustrated Thomas the entire six mins.

Happy to see that some coaches acctually have the ball to go to some of those big tournys (Beast of the East) and not baby their wrestlers, hoping to keep that perfect record (not gonna say who, but you know who you are). I love to see schools going to these Indiana, Missouri, Tenn, or Ohio meets. I know that Hoptown ,back in the 90's, never wrestled a Ky meet until late January every year. Its alway nice to see teams traveling to see great comp.

Alot of you might have saw the match in the finals of state in 1996 where Carr stuck Tinsley. But did any of you see the Hotown Tourney Finals 4 weeks earlier that year. one of the best matches ever. Both wrestlers got put on their backs. No B.S. --- I thought that Carr got stuck.

Before hoptown started their downward spiral about 10 -12 years ago, when Jim Ploesser was there, you had sweat puddles every five feet. Balls to the walls everyday was a compatition to see who could work the hardest. You didnt want the man beside you, out drilling you or out hustling you. Every night I dragged my butt home, took another shower after the one I took at the school. Crawled into bed and passed out. Started the cycle all over the next day :-D
