Below is a link to a group room on Walgreen's site that has pictures from last weekends State Tourney. There are folders for each team and one for pictures of the Refs... You can order right from the web site and either pick them up at Walgreens for have them sent to you. You can also download them if you'd like. Please feel free to leave a message/feedback and let me know you stopped by to look or order... and/or if you have any suggestions. Thanks and enjoy! http://photo1.walgreens.com/groups/2009statetournament

Appreciate any/all effort...

Thanks... No... don't have a pass but if you have any contacts or suggestions to help me out for Big Tens or NCAA's I'd love to get one.
-
Thanks... I am glad folks are enjoying the pictures. I'd like to get them to all the wrestlers I took pictures of... and/or their parents... but don't have all the emails so feel free to pass the link along to anyone you think would have an interest.

Yes... I did read what you wrote and totally agree with you... however... the Title IX issue has long been argued as a reason why wrestling suffers. Just offering another option... not discounting your comments. Relax... I'm on your side :-)

I have long argued that the way to fix the Title IX issue is to recognize cheerleading as a sport. While I am not a fan of cheerleading personally, I have to say that those individuals practice, attend competitions, perform very athletic stunts, and must be in very good physical condition. I say... add cheerleading as a sport... all mens sports benefit and Title IX becomes a non-issue!

Using an online service helps... you send in your seed nominations listing key criteria. The program uses that criteria to determine seeds. The coaches could review remotely a day or two prior to the tourney and make their case for changes all prior to the tourney... final adjustments made at the coaches meeting after weigh ins... but ony in the cases of wrestlers that don't show or don't make weight, etc. This, ofcourse, still relies on the coaches sending in their roster and seed info but I would suggest you make it clear that if they don't follow the guidelines their wrestlers may not be seeded... and stick to it. Let's face it... we can always make improvements... but running any tournament is stressful, difficult, and very time consuming. If you haven't done it it is easy to arm chair quarterback...

Welcome to Kentucky... It is really great to have another college with a wrestling program and options for our college bound athletes. Best of luck... Will see that you get schedules for the Northern Kentucky High School Teams... hope to see you at some of the matches. Saturday Ryle High School will be hosting their annual Raider Rumble with the following schools participating... Union County, South Dearborn, Conner, Sycamore, Lafayette, Cooper, La Rue County, Henry Clay, John Hardin, Boone, Trinity, Grundy, Ryle, South Oldham, Campbell County, and Winton Woods Would be a good opportunity to make some contacts and meet coaches. -

For the KY fans... here are a couple pictures of our boys... Both did a good job in LV... this is great "practice" for the real show in March! This is the type of tourney that enables you to see where you are, what you need to work on, and work out some of the kinks... Hope you enjoy the pictures...
