J Underestimating Wayne Co. would be a bad idea. Kevin Vasquez might win the region but I watched him get stuck yesterday by Jordan Kerr from Henry Clay so it won't be easy.

A few teams here look really light in numbers. Montgomery Co. And Henry Clay should advance just by filling all 14 classes.

I agree that there should be uniformity on the dates. It is a scheduling nightmare for teams and for those that host tournaments during January as the teams available are constantly rotating. I also agree regional duals had a special feeling sectionals do not. In closing I'll say that the wrestling community at large is lucky to have someone as dedicated to the sport as Coach McCoy. Thank you for all your hard work in all the aspects both public and private in Kentucky. He does more for the sport than anybody right now.

The 7th region usually surprises in a positive way at state. I'll go conservatively and say 8 placers. If you look at the rosters of all the teams in this region they are all very young. The vast majority of teams in this region are dominated by youth this season. Besides 4-5 teams the talent at different schools/regions has always been cyclical regardless of location.

Montgomery Co and Madison Central. Montgomery has won the SKIT and beat Johnson Central this year. Madison Central won the Frankfort duals ans has a good group of young wrestlers.

I know Henry Clay came in 2nd, beyond that no idea.

Very well run. Done before 5pm. I think this tournament will grow in the future.
