Didn't Davis forfeit to Wiley in the semi's to have a much better result in the wrestlebacks?
-
Monday is always the day where all the whinning and crying comes out from the weekend. "Ref did this, ref did that, kid did this, kid did that, coach did this and coach did that." It's never.....Hey kid you did a great job and wrestled your butt off (win or lose) or thanks coach or thanks ref or thank you Association for putting on a great event to bring all our our states best young wrestlers to compete. We had some great wins and tough losses, but what I won't do is be that coach that ever places blame on anyone for my kid(s) losing. We preach to our kids to never let the ref decide a match. The wrestlers decide who wins or loses. Win with grace and lose with grace. If you don't believe it....try it. It might help all of us deal with the feeling of entitlement. Thank you KSWA for once again volunteering your time and efforts. You put on an event that was awesome and one to remember....Win or Lose! Thank you to all of the teams that participated as well. Great Job!!

Sounds like someone should have been present to vote in a family discount...or at least propose one.
-
...and for all of that, I can't imagine why Ranger wouldn't want his run as the KSWA President to continue. Glad he is part of our team for many years to come.

Not all 4 Region Champs at the State Duals? How come?

Thank you to all the teams and coaches that attended this years Bearcat Brawl. We appreciate you helping us make this a successful tough tournament. To my knowledge, It was one of, if not the most competetive lineups that we have hosted to date. There was some awesome high level wrestling and several very competetive match ups. Keep us in mind for next year as we hope to make the day even better for all. Regards, Jon Eschan Bearcats WC Team Scores 1. Indiana Outlaws Gold 231.5 2. St. Paris Graham 221.0 3. Middle School Rankings 2014/15 - NOVEMBER 25
trithis replied to Ranger123's topic in Youth Wrestling
If you're having troubles getting into the "Big" tourneys because of coaching changes, try setting up your schedule for the following year, even if you know you'll have a new coach. I'm sure your new coach will appreciate what you've done for them and the team. I agree with JBrown if you committ....show up. If you back out, back out early enough, so the tourney can find another team. The WV Brawl fills up quickly, but there is always a team that drops out and is replaced. -
The Walton Verona Bearcats Wrestling Club is looking for an additonal Assistant Coach to add to the staff this season. If interested, please send me a PM or email at jeschan21@yahoo.com. Thanks, Jon Eschan Head Coach Bearcats WC

2013 MS Bearcat Brawl Wrestling Invitational
trithis replied to Bearcats Coach's topic in Youth Wrestling
Starting to get interest coming in from some very good teams in different states wanting to come to the Brawl in 12/14. If you are interested in having your team come this year, please email Coach Roth as jaroth@insightbb.com. We are planning to have another great turn out this year. You won't be dissapointed. I just read this on the front page of FLO and that's awesome. I've never met you, but I wanted to reach out and say congrats to you for putting in the hard work and effort because it is really paying off. Now you and your family can breathe a bit easier.

Comparing Ranger versus the Committee Rankings
trithis replied to FalconWrestling's topic in 2013 Season
Don't get all bent out of shape. I think you all do a great job. Keep up everyone's ranking efforts...it's great for the sport. I merely just pointed out some that were bashing Rangers efforts. He does a great job and he came out on top. -
As much as I like the medals, boards and singlets of the middle school (btw the KSWA got it right)....I would still trade that for placing and winning a high school state championship. At the end of the day, it's how well you did at the tourney that's memories are made of. Like I tell my 5/6 year old kids....you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

Comparing Ranger versus the Committee Rankings
trithis replied to FalconWrestling's topic in 2013 Season
So, the way I see it....there's no need for a committee and just give ranger his due bcs he's better than all of your minds combined. Pretty clear to me. Statistics over logic. -
Yes! My main man Lane pulled off the big win and I'm so happy for him and his family. Awesome awesome awesome!!!! Lane ---way to pick up your brother when he needed you. Very big of you.

Congrats St X on a great team win! Wonderful showing!

IMO you want the weights dominated by upperclassman because that means the kids are sticking with wrestling or coming back to the sport and their prescence it felt and they are making a meaningful impact. I imagine every coach would like their best kids as senior leaders on their team. This gives the underclassman something to strive for. I think wrestling in ky is getting better all the way from the bottom to the top. That's a great thing.
