Its 2 tournaments. Have you looked at the sectional tournaments. 3 if regional duals are still wrestled, but that's where teams establish criteria for seeding at regional tournament.

So what happens to regional duals?

That is a good idea! Didn't think of that.

I would be willing to bet that the reason for this is all the crying by some small school coaches about not being able to field a team to compete with the big schools. And I would venture to guess that there wouldn't be 1 big school complain about a small school wrestling up. And that would actually give the region ___ small schools what they have been crying out for, a bracket they can win. We let small kids wrestle up, but not big kids wrestle down. Its really not that tough.

Doubt Union will back out but don't know. And you are correct that their will be very little comp. team wise for Union. Don't see the growth potential by simply splitting the field in half. growth would come by making it 2-16 team brackets. And State tournament is watered down.

Makes it hard to look forward to. Its wasting a week of competion.

Pretty sure these rankings are not based on 1 tournament (including state tournament) but more on body of work.

It's really kind of interesting how teams, coaches individuals etc. find ways to not compete. Even coaches stopping their best kids from competing at the highest levels. Its a shame.

In an email from Bob Preusse he also said Kevin's coach petitioned and that he just couldn't mess with Kentucky. This past weekend Jayce beat an Ironman placer. Brock beat several top national kids and won MOW. Kevin beat several top kids and has the resume as well not to mention the Meyer boys or any of the rest that could be considered. If you think you have what it takes come on up, I'll let you in and you can find out. Words of Mr. Preusse himself. Not to mention he promised us freshman year that he would let us in junior or senior year. Preusse is afraid we'll come up there and whip some of that Ohio A$$.

Its all about momentum.

The rule regarding missing school for extra curricular activities. And I called the KHSAA to ask what the penalty was and was told that they can't enforce it, it is enforceable at the district level. So if your school says you can wrestle you can wrestle.

We have already been after it, and Preusse is using a non enforceable KHSAA rule to keep us out!

As long as the KHSAA only recognizes the team state champion being the champion at the individual state tournament and does not have a separate team state tournament than it will not work.

So you are able to predict wins and losses and how they will happen just based off of what others have stated, not knowing who each kid will wrestle? Just curious.

Who are your team players on the Ohio team?

First of all I wish our team could attend Moeller duals. Also not to hammer on a particular kid but Joe Whalen got beat pretty badly by one of Kentucky's best at Raider Rumble(sorry Joe). Also it seams at least from my perspective that a large # of Ohio's best did do their best to avoid Stephen, just saying. Depth wise we are not even close. But our top kids compete very well in any division in Ohio. Also if you are going to put together an all class all star team in Ohio I would love to see that, if you could get that done you would be hard pressed to find more than 3 states that could actually go 500 with them.

You are only partially correct. A team with 14 upper mediocre wrestlers can place higher at a weaker tournament than a team that scores a large number of points at the state tournament. You know as well as I do its not necessarily a team effort at state tournament. Its the number of wrestlers you qualify out of district tournament that are able to win matches at state tournament that decides how you do with state placement. First of all let me apologize to TJ Ruschell, Tim Ruschell And Ryle. I really have no idea why TJ went to 126. I would assume that like all off the best kids he and his team felt he was more competitive at that weight. I like Tim and TJ very much. Jayce has wrestled along side TJ and has been coached by Tim at some national events. I also like Andy and Sean very much.I am sorry I let one of your parents aggravate me just seems like he always finds a way to mention Jayce. P.S. I stand by my idiot comment!!!!

Carr is undefeated against everyone in Ky this year including TJ. That has alot to do with why TJ is at 126!
