what about final match-ups :-D

You have a lot of questionable things being said in this region rankings... like Martin losing, saying Olman is getting better, Hitchings beating Condon... you all are obviously Trinity fans or part of the Trinity team. Martin has just completely handled Bradbury every time they have wrestled and when Elliot gets to state nothing will hold him back from being a state champ. Olman sure he beat one good kid but he is also getting killed by other good kids Ex: Antonio Zeppa (NO) decisioned him by 7 or 8 Then you have Condon losing to Hitchings and Hitchings is just a Freshman and doesn't even know what the whole regional and high school state experience is all about so you could choke in the end.

Yea but i guess you were just not the better team the wrong night. So.... yes i bet North Oldham thanks you for skrewing up.

RUSCHELL BEATS #4 TSIRTSIS FROM IOWA
wrestlingforyears replied to grapplehed's topic in College Wrestling
Hey just for the record Kyle is ranked #15 right now right before he beat Tsirtsis from Iowa and he was #6 i talked to Kyle a day prior to the match. He was also suppose to wrestle Lang from NorthWestern but he was out and Kyle destroyed their back up. As a team Wisconsin lost to NorthWestern and I'm not sure about Iowa. Kyle is currently 22-4 and will proballey move up in the rankings after beating Tsirtsis. -
Last night North Oldham beat Oldham County and Fern Creek so Fern Creek got bumped out of the top seed of region 5 and is no longer going to State Duals.

Fern Creek Not going to State Duals
wrestlingforyears replied to wrestlingforyears's topic in 2007 Season
I heard many things why Fern Creek kids didn't show up, because they were hurt, because they were sick, because they didn't want to wrestle, they wanted to take a rest, they were ineligible. If you ask me this just sounds like a bunch of excuses and after all that they don't even deserve to wrestle at state duals. Yea North might not have beaten Fern Creek at it's toughest but your only as good as the weakest teammate. They should have figured that any team is a threat in the region. -

KentuckyWrestling.com HS Rankings - 2006/2007 January 3
wrestlingforyears replied to Ranger123's topic in High School Rankings
I think it is going to come down to who shows up at state at 119. -
Posted on: Today at 11:39:54 by: meadecowrestler Insert Quote yea regionals should be a blast though...state is a diff. story..im going to have to have an A+ day to make it to day 2 but all well i dont mind makin it to state my first year is good enough for me good luck this weekend sean i hope we get to wrestle Everyone makes it into the second day you only wrestle one match on Thursday. They started doing this so the crowd is still big for the morning session on Friday.
-
I would say that the people that are ranked top 8 at 135 and 145 are good but the weight classes aren't very deep so you can't really say they are the toughest.
-
Meade County's 112 won't finish in the top 4 i can say that much. He is a beginning when it comes to wrestling and his weird stance is not helping anyone in the match especially not him.
-
So you have norwood of parks
-
Proballey jv going there and varsity going to dragon.

Old Teams Wrestling Each Other
wrestlingforyears replied to wrestlingforyears's topic in 2007 Season
No I'm saying that Kentucky wasn't a very good wrestling state back in the 60's 70's and 80's just like saying that pitchers back in the day could not throw the ball as fast as they can now so Babe Ruth would not have hit as many home runs. You have to look at the big picture and how far Kentucky has come in wrestling just like in any other sport, but when you look at Kentucky and wrestling we have grown tremendously. -
Who do you think would win the State Tournament over all if all the teams were wrestling in the tournament.
-
I have one coach is a Michigan state champ and a national champ for one of my coaches, my head coach is fighting Brazilian jujitsu and is a state champ power lifter, then we have another coach who had wrestling at Eastern Michigan and then wrestled in the Army and was going to try out for the Olympics but it was the year we boycotted it.
-
I dont think norberry even has a chance of placing. I do agree that all the nky teams are really young but just give them a year or two and they will be solid again.

Old Teams Wrestling Each Other
wrestlingforyears replied to wrestlingforyears's topic in 2007 Season
You guys are going back so far in time where Kentucky wasn't even developed wrestling wise. Sure they went undefeated but look how far Kentucky has coming in a wrestling state. If it is going to be solid match ups they need to be with in reasonable years. -
Yes, Byrd got caught but what else do heavyweights do they get caught when they get tired and this is what happened. Byrd was winning the match and Mastervich just saw something and went with it Byrd tried to roll him through but couldn't. The ref waited a while to call but he had too and Byrd got pinned.
-
Elliot Martin (103) is still undefeated with a record of around 30-0 or 35-0
-
That is like a mini state meet 27/28 teams that is going to be a 32 man bracket we are going to be there all night. :-o WOW

National Wrestling Duals, Midwest June 29-July 2, 2007
wrestlingforyears replied to juderoth's topic in 2007 Season
I think this would be a really good show for Ky, but you are going to have to make sure that all the top notch wrestlers come out to wrestle. I don't think we should bring a lot of good weight classes and then have like 3 crappy ones. [move]We should have all state champs or runner-ups[/move]!!! All in All i think this would be good for Ky to be put on a dominate state in wrestling. I'm not saying were Pennsylvania or anything but we sure are on our way.
