You know I agree. I haven't agreed in the past with how the old system works because for the four years I made it to state I was a three seed. I was always upset or something in the semis at regional, but I look back and you can't always have things work for you just because you bust your butt you have to go to that next level. I know guys out of state ie VA etc. and they ask me "Make it to states?" I say yeah four years in a row, wasn't hard. If you have the slightest bit of talent and drive you can make it to state. If we narrow the road to state wouldn't that make kids hungrier to make it to state? Wouldn't it make them want to work harder to earn that spot at state? Wouldn't it make us find out who has the heart and desire to prove himself for those three weeks? Districts,Region,State. I think it would and that's why I agree with the old system.

The SEC has sent 8 to 9 teams out of the twelve, combining both east/west, to a bowl game for the past couple of years. The last 3 years an SEC team has won it. Kentucky isn't even a football school and they've won their last 2 bowl games. I think the SEC has earned their spot at the to division.

Just like everything in KY though we are based on traditions so the Universities probably do not want to steer away from their traditions and morals.

12,448,279 is the population for Penn. 4,269,245 is Kentucky's population. So you figure Penn has 15 colleges that have wrestling in D1 alone we have to get at least 2 more colleges to support wrestling to catch up with their D1 programs.

During this day and time I think it's virtually impossible that schools will sponsor a sport like wrestling. Especially a public school i.e. WKU, UK, EKU, Murray, and Louisville they have their football and basketball and that's all they want and they feel that's all they need.

I've heard the best thing to use in freestyle is throws. Can anyone confirm this? I've seen Cael and John hit those low singles but they almost had to perfect it to not get crotch lifted, right? Insight would be great.
