The middle school season kicks off next weekend with the first tournament of the year. This is shaping up to be a good tournament with teams from all over the state and Tennessee. UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS ACADEMY MIDDLE SCHOOL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT NOVEMBER 14, 2009 LOCATION: University Heights Academy, 1300 Academy Drive, Hopkinsville, KY FORMAT: This will be an individual bracketed tournament. Each team can enter more than one in each weight class, but must designate one wrestler in each weight class as the point scorer for team points. ELIGIBILITY: All middle school wrestlers who pre-register prior to Thursday, November 12, 2009. Brackets will be completed on Friday. ENTRY FEE: $150 per team. TIMES: Weigh-ins start at 8 AM and close at 9 AM. Wrestling to start as soon as possible after weigh-ins. WEIGHT CLASSES: 70, 75, 82, 89, 96, 103, 110, 117, 124, 131, 140, 150, 165, 185, 230 (MAX). MEDALS: Medals will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place. Team trophies for First and Second Place. Most Outstanding Wrestler Award. CONCESSION STAND/HOSPITALITY ROOM: The concession stand will be serving drinks and food all day. A hospitality room will be open for the coaches.
