The only way to get kids to these tournaments is to release the brackets and results and let everyone see they can get more than 1 or 2 matches. Anybody have anything?

Cooper, Willen and Carr all signed during the early signing period.

It must have had something to do with the ventilation. Our section was completely covered with dirt - the seats and the floor. We also had several parents and kids who were having a hard time with allergies and asthma. Nice venue, but not suited for wrestling. Don't expect it to change, however.

I doubt Fausz is the type to run from competition.

If what has been discussed did happen, I don't see any problem discussing it on this forum. You can't ignore the negatives and just discuss the positives. If Coach McCoy saw a "senseless act that has no place in wrestling", then the behavior must be addressed.

Yes, you can compete in open tournaments, but it will count against your team as a weigh-in. Teams are limited to 17 weigh-ins per season.

Congrats to Wade Willen, who signed his National Letter of Intent to wrestle for SIUE next season. SIUE went Division I this year and will be in the SoCon with UTC.

Division I schools in Kentucky won't consider adding wrestling until there is a serious lobbying effort with political pressure. Until this group gets organized and funded, don't expect any change.

The sixth annual UHA middle school tournament will be held at UHA in Hopkinsville on November 10. This will be an individual, bracketed tournament. Last year we had teams from Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky. Looking to fill 16 man, double elimination brackets. tfm12.doc
