Check your records again. They didn't wrestle at duals that year. The match where Metzker beat Scott was in early december that year. Scott's loss at state duals was against Simon Kenton's Brad Cooper.

Honestly dagger, i would love to see my old school win it again, but this year's school division is WIDE OPEN!!! ANY of the tesams listed have a legitamite shot at the gold this year. Best of Luck to all!!!

Yes, Paden just stepped down as middle school coach this past year. He is now a volunteer assistant with the High School so he can be with Nick.

In my opinion Gary Canter has to be mentioned. Not only is he a great guy to be around, he has helped so many wrestlers see their true worth and potential. Proof of this is in the 2nd seed from Region 2 this year, Nelson County, who is coached by non other than one of, if not the, greatest wrestlers to wrestle for LaRue, Jason Detre. Or the numerous validictorians who have wrestled for him, or even the many military members who have recieved scholarships because of his pushing them to be the best they can be. I would like to give my personal thanks to Gary Canter for making not only my time with him and his family a memorable one, but for the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the State at what he does.

Jordan Murphy dec. Shaq Cox something like 4-3. Great match. lots of fun to watch. David Blair beat the Anderson 189 (I think his name is Haddix?) by 2. Don't remember the exact score. I do believe Nelson upset Central Hardin as well. Not sure of the exact team scores, but that is what i have heard from several folks. Just my observations, but it looks like no one has a sure lock on the 2nd seed from this region. Nelson is wrestling people VERY well and Central looked like they were a little sluggish. Maybe it was just the late night, but i really think today's duals could be entertaining, especially if all my info is correct.

Come on!! Only Flyboy and myself have opinions on the duals?? I find that hard to believe.

Time to decide who represents the region at the Big Dance in Lexington at the end of the month!!! Which teams move on to State Duals and what are some match-ups you are most looking forward to?? I forsee a loud and intense dual friday night as John Hardin places a full line-up onto the mat to face LaRue fresh off an upset over #1 Union at the Bruin Duals. Should be fun and rowdy!!!! Not sure who will be where all weekend, but i really hope Hester and Newberry meet up sometime!! Anyone else have any thoughts??

I'll go first. All matches will take place in the High School Gym at LaRue County. 2nd round Duals are highlighted by a John Hardin/LaRue rematch. I think that dual might be decided in the last couple of matches (i.e. last year's dual decided in the next to last match).

Seneca defeated LaRue by 1 point. Final was something like 34-33.

So will the winner of Pool A Wrestle the winner of Pool D and the winner of Pool C wrestle the winner of Pool B like last year, or is it A vs. B and C vs. D???

The closest I have ever seen to a score like that was the heavyweight championship match in early 2000s. Ramsey from Campbell beat Dill from North Hardin 18-13 under the spotlight, AND THEN CARTWHEELED AROUND THE MAT!!!! Pretty exciting way to end the tournament.

www.ncaa.com full results, match by match results, and team scores. Iowa leads after day one, but OK State, Minny, ISU, Central Michigan, Nebraska, Mizzouri, and Ohio State are all within 6.5 points. Each winner this morning gets 7 points for their team. SHOULD BE FUN!!!!

Paden lost to Elam (ranked #1) 10-5 in quarter-finals and then dropped down and lost to Kincer (ranked #4) 6-4 in the match before the medal round. so yeah, i do believe that it means he came close to medaling.

Central Hardin High School is the host gym and has been since about 2004 or 05. LaRue is running it again this year.

Brackets will be posted as soon as the tournament directors have a chance to sit down and place the wrestlers in according the the random draw. hopefully, no later than Monday.

Rankings are posted online whenever ubtappin can get around to it (btw. thanks for taking care of that ubtappin!! great job this year!) and the state brackets won't be set until all the regions report their top 4 and the random draw occurs.
