I hope you think through legally changing your name to Bebop before you do it. You can always have people call you that without changing it legally. That is a pretty drastic and permanent move.

I have to say I agree but it might be close...they dualed at harrison in indiana in mid-December and UC beat Trinity by 9. Neither team was at full strength though so it could be the same gap. UC is a very strong team this year, no doubt.

I'm sure he felt bad but it wasn't his fault. It was just one of those freak things that happen in a physical sport. There is actually some hope that Josh will be back for Regionals, if you can believe that.

This was the worst year yet for the Big East. The good thing was we were done very early (would have been earlier if we didn't have the 45 minute delay when Josh Lewis dislocated his arm). The best highlight of the tournament for me was a very close match between Smith and Wiexler (Wiexler really wanted this one) and Cattan looking like an idiot because he was so emotional about a dramatic call he just made he wasn't watching where he was going. Smith had already gotten in position in the center circle and Cattan walked backwards and fell right on his @$$ after tripping over Smith.

Does this mean that Region 7 only gets 1 other ranked team or does HC take another regions spot?

I would guess they have never wrestled before? It should be a pretty good match. I haven't seen neal wrestle so it is difficult for me to predict the outcome. I think Hitchings is pretty good and will give neal a run for his money.

To my knowledge, Wolsiefer is yet to result at all this year. I haven't seen him at any tournaments where FC has wrestled.

Looks like the state finals will happen early at the Dragon as 4 of the top 5 171's will be there. If rankings fall out as below and everyone wrestles well, matt neal will need to get by hitchings to get his shot at Reid again. Lost to the guy who got first from Christian County. Didn't have a meltdown. It went to overtime. He looked out of shape but lasted until OT so how out of shape could he be. Not bad for the first time out.

I selected my name as I really got bit by the wrestling bug a few years ago. My son only started wrestling when he got into high school and I really respect the sport. So I am a real wrestling fanatic for the sport.

Barnett and Cole are my votes...whoever says cattan is consistent is wacked. He has to be the most inconsistent (on purpose) ref there is. The only thing consistent about cattan is he is controversial and a showoff. If you like him, maybe you should request him to ref every match you or someone you love is in as long as its not me. I think we'd be better off outsourcing to another state.

Perhaps one of our friends from Eastern can post an answer to their whereabouts tonight. Seems extremely odd.

I went back and compared Rangers final rankings to the final state results. I can confirm that the stats he quotes are quite accurate. He mentioned Miller but did not mention others such as Caleb Wood and Josh Lewis who were injured during the tournament. There may have been others. I did notice that St. X was ranked 21st as a team and they finished 17th overall. This was the result of outstanding performances by Cory Kress (rank 13) at 145 who finished 8th and Matt Bergamini (rank 18) at 171 who finished 7th offset a disappointing tournament for Nick Norwood (rank 10) at 119 and Elliot Bauer (rank 10) at 140 who did not finish anywhere near the top 10. Chip Condon finished as expected at 6th instead of 7th. Seems to me that if any team has better or worse performances, they will finish higher or lower then their rankings. All in all, however, I think the rankings are helpful, directionally correct and fun to follow. Without a structure like the AP Coaches poll or any other formal process, I think Ranger is kicking ___ and putting in a tremendous amount of time.
