Kentuckywrestling.com HS Rankings 2010/2011 - FEBRUARY 9
pridewrestler replied to Ranger123's topic in High School Rankings
Looking good. Two things, Keaton Thomas is wrestling 135 at regions and Beau Sheffer is the 171 for Union, not Devin Smith. Thanks for updating ranger -
I know he's not thomas buckman  pretty sure he goes to a different school in another county as well

Need input for most of them. Only know a few. 103: 1. Trae Blackwell (Union, 9) 2. Chris Gilkey (Caldwell, 9) 112: 1. Brock Ervin (Union, 9) 2. Killebrew (Christian) 119: 1. Boone (Ohio) 2. Willen (UHA) 3. Jeffrey Wurth (Union, 10) 125: 1. Moore (Ohio) 2. Chad Gahafer (Union, 9) 130: 1. Jayce Carr (Union, 10) 135: 1. Keaton Thomas (Union, 12) 140: 6. Caleb Wolfe (Union) 145: 1. Kenneth Brummett (Union, 10) 2. Keegan Agnew (Caldwell, 9) 152: 1. Caleb Ervin (Union, 12) 160: 1. Daviess Co. 2. Ohio Co. 3. Calloway Co. 4. Jake Risinger (Union, 11) 171. 2. Beau Sheffer (Union) 189. 1. Thomas Buckman (Union, 12) 215. 3. Rashaud Wilkins (Union, 11) 285. Only first 3 were seeded, then the rest thrown in (6 wrestlers) Raynel Brown (Union, 8) will take on Caldwell's freshman first match. Updates needed, and corrections as well.

I only know one. Im pretty sure Blackwell has the UHA guy first round. Found that funny
-
Bryce Sheffer is the only one from union returning. Runner Up James Smith and Jackson Oxford return as well
-
What's new haha. There are other teams we can't leave out with JC and Larue to name a few.
-
140 looks like a pretty even but deep weight class.

Heavyweight and region 8? -
Morganfield (Union)

I agree with you ninja. One of the luxuries of the state tournament is anyone at anytime can come out with a victory. No one can be counted out.
-
Talked to Jason Walls today about that match. Payton was up 4-2? and Gilkey had and underhook and a front headlock and punched it across to get Payton on his back and that was all she wrote. Correct me if I'm wrong, but his terms for moves were a little different than what I was taught.

Wasn't looking to rattle anyone or go anywhere with that comment. Sorry if I hit a sore muscle. Just was saying it's a little late for conditioning. Ahern and Birk are both great wrestlers. Just stating an opinion and a little more emphasis on one match from the state Duals. Terry and Carr should be in the finals depending on the draws but once again this is just my opinion. Take what you want from it. And I'm not trying to go anywhere with this message either. Wrestle on!
-
Its a little late in the season for conditioning you think? Carr majored Ahern, if I'm not mistaken it was 1 point away from a tech.
-
Roads were clear but union wasn't allowed to use a school bus So no wrestling for them.
-
I ran into both parks boys last night in lexington. Best of luck to Rusty and WoFoCo.

You want us to say mccall don't ya?

What's the format
-
Not sure. But heard it had something to do with a compound fracture in his back

Notable matches, just know union's and maybe a few more. 130 was crazy all day. Terry beat Birk 8-4 in a great match. Ahern beat birk, don't know score. And Carr beat Ahern by major decision. Thomas Buckman pinned Taylor Pruett (Ryle) in the first period. His first tournament back since knee injury. -
135, 140, and 145 were missing. Gabe is out for the season (125)
-
Yeah they did, but if they had him, it could've been a different story for the Larue match. Not much excuses, Larue wrestled tough. Would like to see Union field a full squad for at least one tournament this year. From my understanding, at least one of their studs have been out each weekend.
