Thats how he Scherer wrestles he does not care if he wins by 1, 15, or a pin. He considers a W a W. He will wrestle at his pace and force the person to make a mistake. You could compare him to ICEMAN off of Top Gun lol. He will wrestle you all day and when you slip up he catches you. He does not want to try to blow someone out of the water get in a hurry and make mistake. If he can own you he will if not he will take his time and pick you apart piece by piece. WONT HAPPEN!

wombat171 AKA Will Starks. Dont count Ryan Houchens out. The kid is a great wrestler. You are forgeting about Mark Jones as well.....you have wrestled two kids who you both struggled with.

Houchens lost to Doyle he did not win the tourney. Ross was kicked our for throwing a dip in on the middle of the mat. Stone tore Travis Aubry up beating him 11-0 gave up 1 point for stalling then proceded to pin him. I dont know why everyone thinks Wise can handle Stone. Last year they had one close match. Then Stone controlled the next one. Stone Byrd Sherer will all be a battle.

IMO I feel that S.O. should walk away with them this is one of there best teams they have had. From what I hear Stone will meet Sherer in the Semis because some guy from Harrison Co. got a 2 seed.

At 215 Stone has bear Wise every time they have wrestled usually with a decent score. But these rankings are the best i have seen in awhile.

Ill be honest I would not want to be afraid with some of the coaches and parents today. I hear one coach I wont mention any names complain about refs every tournament I am at w/ him. It gets on my nerves. As far as arguing is concerned its not the NFL you cant throw your red flag and get a review so get over it. I will not say I dont question a refs call sometimes. But people take it way out of hand and wont give it a rest. I think this poses a big problem because the majority of these refs dont need this money there doing it because they love the sport and want to be around it. So when they have parents going off the deep end coaches who will not shut up they just give up. I would I could not handle it. Another reason is we have a lot of younger refs now. There have been a lot of the good ones retire as of late. So we need to give room for these guys to progress. I also understand there is no bashing going on and im not accusing of anyone of it. Just stating a point.

Ill be honest im quite tired of hearing everyone complain about refs. To say something to your coach or to say something to the ref and not make a scene is one thing. But to get on here and bash them is out of hand. Half the people that get on here and complain about them could not make it out of the first period w/o blowing 2 or so calls.

Well as far as the 215 state championship goes check out the Conner Invite on January 7th. Scherer, Stone, and Byrd. AllAmerican your opinions are rarely accurate. So just a bit of adive dont rely on them. I just cant see Byrd beating Scherer since Sherer was sleeping up until about 5 min before his finals match.

If Doyle makes it to the state finals then i will be in complete shock and dissapointed that he did not get knocked off my Ashworth.

I really think the Conner Middle School team is going to be good. They have alot of talent. I have been working with many of the kids all summer and i really think they have very good dedication and hopefully they will be ready for the hard work headed their way.

Im not sure the only one I know they lost was Bill McAfferty. I would not consider that to much off a loss.

Bottom- Off the whistle fake swith to one side and come back across to the other. Top-Suck back to figure 4 Feet-High Crotch to double, or duck under.

Gulier i dont see having much of a shot unless he balked up and got tougher. What about the kid from Bourbon Co. last year he was a beast.

Not to sure about that one, but I would not doubt it. He was an all around great wrestler.

Rob Clarkston first 4X in the state. From Conner H.S. and was state runner up his 8th grade year.

hmm idk, ive never even seen warner wrestle so i dont have much to say, but all of them are talented but ozzie and derrick would be a super tough match for warner :wink:

LOL.....Ya another scrub from Conner. Thats all they produce right. They did not produce the first 4X in the state did they. Learn you facts before you talk smack. Where is my mispelled word by the way? Back to the point of the post...I dont think there are any private schools in NKY that have wrestling. But it gets alot deeper then that. Like I stated before this is not just about wrestling. You have to look at things like football. Where teams like Beechwood dominate 1A, Highlands in 3A, and Trinity, St. X in 4A. This is what there trying to stop. Another option would be open enrollment through out the state. Personally im not a big fan of open enrollment. I think that they should def. be split up.
