Look for Jake Lee to step up. One match away from qualifying last year. He is getting a lot of good summer wrestling in and attending a lot of camps. As long as he keeps up his hard work up and keeps his weight in the 40's he could be a placer IMO.

I choked my Sr. year in the finals...the lights scared the piss out of me. Keith Lageman losing to Clark.

Last year when I went it seemed the younger classes were much more competitive. I gave up 19 pounds and was able to get 6th. My last two matches came with in 15 min of one another and the other kid had been sitting for 45 min. So I dont know if the upper divisions have as much "Good" national talent. What was the turn our like for college wrestlers anyone know I want to wrestle this weekend but dont want to waste my time showing up if the turn out was not great at the college level. I cant download the results I dont have the proper software.

Well it was not just based on me. How about in 2001 I think Craig Cooper Jeremy Lovell and Matt Reis all in the same region one of those guys may have not mad state and I know for a fact that year they finished 1, 2, 3 in the state. Its not a valid point there is to many holes in it. On top of that a 32 man bracket is just another great way for the KHSAA to bring in money!!

HCWolverine as a former wrestler please dont ever get on here and talk about how easy it is to get to state nor how much more difficult Cross Country and Tennis are. Until you have went 6 minutes plus just keep your mouth shut about the topic. The second thing everyone who has a problem with the 32 man bracket get over it. Its going to be like that and no matter how much people want it change the head cheeses at KHSAA wont change it. Its a good idea who cares if you dont deserve to be there the kids that dont deserve to be there are gone by Friday afternoon anyway. If you would go to the old way District, Region, State. I would have not qualified for state my Soph. year because I placed 5th in the "Confrence" aka District but then I came back and won Region. I had an off day I was sick and just had my shoulder MRI'd get over it.

AllAmerican103 I dont know what match you were watching but Peters was backing up the whole match and never got him for stalling once. Seemed to me like the calls went his way. Dont blame it on because he goes to Woodford Co. thats a joke.

After watching these last couple days I would say better refs might help to. I seen a couple who are terrible. I wont say any names but I seen one ref who refuses to get down to get count near falls. I think that is an absolute joke.

My advice would be just have fun. Dont worry about it the pressure is off you made history. Thats advice to everyone wrestling down this weeknd just have fun with this weeknd thats all it about.

Chill out......and I dont think that is the kind of language that they want to be used on here. Here is the problem do you really want to spend the time to seed 32 guys in 14 weight classes. Probaly not. Even if you seed that top 8 it would take forever.

In the Club Division it was Trinity, Conner, John Hardin. Larue won the Team division. Over all with the two divisions combined Trinity was 1st, Conner 2nd Larue 3rd.

I will handle issues with Pionner_Pride later. The only thing I hear him talking about are the Lee brothers. Who are they?? Read above though I gave props to Palmer, Bradburry, and a few other wrestlers. :roll:

I say talk about it subjects like this need to be confronted. Its sad this is starting to take place in wrestling it was only football. No Highlands did not loose a their State Championship they had to forfeit every game Mitchell played in but got to keep the state title. They finished the season something like 3-13 with a state championship. The worst record for a state championship team in KY history.

How is 4-1 not convincing he only scored 1 point that means he did not score one take down. Bradburry beat Watson 4-3 Watson gave up one lock hands and let him go w/ 6 seconds left.

monkeyroll your nuts. First of all Bates has been beat twice this year by Alig. Lee will most likely pin his way to the finals. Bradburry is easily the best wrestler at his weight class. Bradburry has all ready beat Padden i think twice. Your over looking Watson at 82 to. At 150 Pugh should find himself in the finals only loosing two matches all season one from OH one by Lee. Lee will be in the finals along with Pugh and Watson.

Big East was a nice ran tourney last year. But very little competition some weaker teams you could say. But with 21 teams in it this year and it being a one day tourney i think you will run into the 5 match rule alot. Unless they do Polls in that case it could be one long day. I would only think 16 or so teams would be there. Last year Conner ran away with it early and kept it that way. Will see what the case is this year though.

Starks def. has the edge w/ those partners. I dont think Doyle will win it mayb 2nd or 3rd. So far my pick would be Starks and Houches in the finals. I know Doyle beat Houchens but things change win it comes to he Tourney. Its called wrestling like is Feb. Watch for the kid to turn it on.
