  1. MTS Wrestling is looking for a head middle school coach for the 2013-2014 season and beyond. Current coach Jay Holbrook has done a great job these last few years with the program but is stepping down to spend time with his son.

MTS is located in Louisville and the team started competition in 2002. Practices are held at Moore Traditional School in the wrestling room. The room is one of the nicest in the state.

The team has very strong parent support as well as a group of assistant coaches that will remain. The high school team is one of the top teams in the state.

We are looking for a dedicated coach looking to build a successful youth/middle program. There is a possibility of teacher openings in Moore Traditional School if you are a certified teacher. We will help to get you into these spots.

Please contact Mike Thomas at mike.thomas@jefferson.kyschools.us if interested. Include a resume.

  7. Horsepower Wrestling Club starts Monday March 5th!!! 6:00 - 8:00pm in the Moore Wrestling room. Go around back side of building towards football field. Veer off to your left down the hill near the garages. Door 13.

All you need is a USA Wrestling card. Show it to the coaches at the door. If you need to get one just bring $25.00.

Last year we had a great turn-out. Expecting a even greater one this year. Be ready to work!! We had zero seniors at Moore this season so our entire team is returning with several of those being state placers. This is a good room to get some off-season work in, especially if you are in the area.

If you could please pin this Mathound. Thank you.

at 170 Sam Willbanks of Moore has beaten Rhodes Bell this year. This will be a great second round match. Winner could very well be in the finals. On that top side.

  9. Moore's chances to go to State Duals are fine. We beat X this year by 3 then lost to them by 1 in the region duals. So we were close to going this year. We also have no seniors.

To the point. I don't think it will bring any more interest in schools adding teams. A lot of A.D.s could care less about adding wrestling. Waggener has not advertised for a wrestling coach in years, or Ballard. They don't want a team.

Our goal this year was to go to state duals. It didn't happen. Was a few points short. With no seniors I am pretty positive we get there next year and compete. It would feel pretty watered down to go to a small school. Atleast for a school like us who is right there.
