Moore will be hosting a folkstyle and freestyle tournament on Saturday June 21st.This is the weekend before dead period begins!! Get some matches in before you take a break.
Pre-register only!! No registration the day of. Entry fee is $15 for one style or $25 for both styles. Pay cash at sign-ins the day of. No checks. PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES SATURDAY JUNE 14th.
Remote weigh-ins only! No weigh-ins the day of. If you are going to conduct a remote weigh-in please contact me.

The MTS USA Wrestling Folkstyle tournament at Moore in Louisville that was supposed to be held on April 12th has been re-scheduled for Saturday June 21st. April 12th is the date for Thunder over Louisville so we thought this may hamper participation.

The team has very strong parent support as well as a group of assistant coaches that will remain. The high school team is one of the top teams in the state.
We are looking for a dedicated coach looking to build a successful youth/middle program.

MTS is located in Louisville and the team started competition in 2002. Practices are held at Moore Traditional School in the wrestling room. The room is one of the nicest in the state.
The team has very strong parent support as well as a group of assistant coaches that will remain. The high school team has been pre-season ranked top 5 in the state the past two years in a row.
We are looking for a dedicated coach looking to build a successful youth/middle program. This coach is very important to the success of our program as a whole. There is a possibility of teacher openings in Moore Traditional School if you are a certified teacher. We will help to get you into these spots.

MATHOUND or admin. Can you please pin this post? We are desperately seeking a head coach. JCPS laid off a bunch of teachers so it may be a little harder to get a teacher in the system. We are perfectly willing to hire someone who is not a teacher. Our practices are at 6pm.

Format: Double Elimination brackets for each weight-class. Size of each bracket will be determined by the number of wrestlers entered per weight-class. Bout Length: 1-1-1(Bantam-Novice), 1:30-1:30-1:30 (Schoolboys-University), Overtime 1 minute (Sudden Victory), 30 second (Tie Breaker)
Awards: Medals will be given to the Top 3 Placers in each weight class.
Registration: Wrestlers may register online at www.mtswrestling.com/hpswt and receive the reduced entry fee of $15. Registering at a remote weigh-in site will also get you the $15 entry fee. Registration cost $20 if you register the morning of the tournament. Registration forms can be downloaded at the above link.
Weigh-Ins: On Site Weigh-In: Friday June 7th 6:00-7:00 p.m. @ Moore Traditional School wrestling room. Door 13 around back side of the building near dumpsters.

JV State will not happen. There is no time to reschedule it since the original date was the weekend before regionals. No wrestling can occur after the state tournament next weekend. Sad for those guys that qualified. We had quite a few that did and they were very excited to compete. JV State will take place back at Moore next season. It will most likely be the week before regionals. Let's hope next years does not get cancelled because of weather.

Jefferson County went very smooth this weekend. Wrestling was finished at 5:30pm on Saturday. St. X was loaded and looked very tough. Southern represented very well. Both Trinity and Moore had several key wrestlers out. Fern Creek is very young and they are going to get better and better.
Jorge Vega (FC) earned MOW for the lower weights and Brandon Pledger (X) earned the MOW for upper weights.

Wow, thanks dscicle. First time I have been downed on kywrestling. Don't worry about us. We are pretty banged up but we will make adjustments the best we can to go after a state duals title.
