JV STATE WILL BE HELD AT MOORE I just found out today that we are able to host it at our place. We were going to host it at Fern Creek because of a Cheerleading competition that was booked at our gym but that has been moved. JV STATE WILL BE HELD AT MOORE

We had JV regionals here at Moore last night. I am ironing out the final details for state with Coach Tichenor of Fern Creek and his AD. I will get you the final details asap. The date is Jan.26th at Fern Creek.

Maybe we should have required no more then a certain number of Varsity matches or a win percentage less then --%. This is the first year. I just wanted to get it up and running. Very few coaches have actually given me any input. We will work on improving it after this year and hopefully more coaches will chime in. However some regions have already had their JV regionals so we can't change anything for this year.

we said 9-11 only. No middle school wrestlers at all allowed. Also, if you qualified for state the previous year then you cannot participate. Everyone else is welcome but yes its a coaches call. Someone may send someone who shouldn't be there. Some JV wrestlers are just a few points from filling the varsity spot on their team. If the kid is 9-11, didn't go to state last year but has placed in qrite a few tournaments this year then of course he doesn't belong in JV state. I mean I got some kids that are wrestling varsity only because we have no one else. A few kids that have not won a single match. They are on the varsity team but there level of skill is JV. Coaches know who should and shouldn't be allowed. Also I think I've sent out plenty of emails to the coach serve list explaining the eligibility. If you are not a part of this email list you need to sign-up if you are a coach.

I don't know, this years county ran well on 3 mats at Seneca. As long as both days start at 10 am I think 3 mats works well.

We have an old mat, real old. There are some rips, some vinyl missing. It would be good for practices but not good for duals. I will enclose pictures ASAP. It is 28'X28'. I'm trying to sell it to get some money for other equipment. I will basically have coaches bid on it. If a coach is interested get back to me. Bidding will start at $500.00

Southern119 Jake looked like a real athlete. He wrestled well. What year is he?

Southern 119 - Our Varsity 130 is a freshmen. He didn't wrestle. Waiting to get a MRI on his hand. oh ok Jake wrestled Trey McIntosh then. He's a rookie Sophomore. He filled in for 130. Keisker wrestled 135 against Blanford. My team is such a mess right now I'm not sure who is where. Wrestler92 - "Whats up with Moore?" Lets just say we are a real mess right now. Everything should straighten out within the next couple weeks..... I hope

Southern119 Vincent? I assume you are talking about Blanfords victory Wednesday night. Vincent Wrestles 140. Blanford beat Justin Keisker. He is an 8th grader filling a spot for a injured freshmen.

Thanks for the compliment Coach. It's a love for the school I guess. I basically have no life outside of Moore, haha. It's homecoming day and I'm wearing my old football jersey. Lame? There is great potential in these programs. The best coach for a program most of the time is a coach that actually came from the program. Me being from Moore and being on a team with around 5 a year and not a single garment that said Moore wrestling on it, I had to give these guys everything I didn't get when I was here. I'm reliving what could have been through them I guess. Coach Founder from Central has also done a wonderful job going back to his alma mater and I'm sure that Coach Tichenor at Fern Creek will keep them up for awhile. Not to mention all the other coaches around that have gone back to their schools. I'm glad that your school has finally realized that you were the best man for the job all along. I look forward to seeing good KCD teams like in the past.

Great idea. I can't believe no one has thought of doing this before. The next step would be filling in results as the season follows, just add them to the schedule. I'm sure you thought of that as well.

as of right now the Horsepower is full. Its a small 10 team pool tournament. We think it runs pretty smoothly every year and everyone gets about 5 matches. Thanks for reccommending us Southern112.

Moore started on the 4th of September. We do 18 days in 6 weeks. We don't go to the weight room. We get our strength workouts in other various forms.

Moore We lose McCain at 130 and Johnston at 135. I gain a few middle school wrestlers but will still be most likely missing 103, 189, 215 I think I can bring in some freshmen to fill those spots but of course they won't be competitive. I'm not sure where Schneider and Dunn are going. They will fill two weight classes between 152 and 171. Farley is back at Heavy.

I was unable to get my gym on the 26th of January but Coach Tichenor stepped up and got permission to use his. The JV State Wrestling Tournament will be held at Fern Creek High School in Louisville. We will ask regions to hold JV regionals. These can be held in one night. Top 4 from each region. - 9-11 graders only - one wrestler per weight class per team Other eligibility rules and tournament details will be discussed and released soon. Coach Thomas

We have talked about this and alot of people have told me just to host it (Moore, in Louisville). I'm talking to my A.D. right now to get the permission. If its held the best weekend is the weekend of state duals. Here are the easiest eligibility guidelines to follow. If you think any of them should be changed, voice your opinion. There is still along time until the date so we can change some things if need be. 1. 9-11 graders only 2. No varsity wrestlers Exception: Wrestler is your varsity wrestler by default (no one else at that weight) and his winning percentage is below 50% in actual head to head competition. Forfeits not counted. 3.Schools may enter up to two(2) wrestlers in each weight class for JV State
