I also think that Adam Bender from Bluegrass is going to suprise many at 75lbs. It would not suprise me at all to see him in the top spot when all is said and done.

I do think Rich will win, but if you think Rich is going to win by 10, then you will probably see a rematch of the regional finals with Rich and Bailey from Cooper. He's tough. Their last two matchs have been very close. A few tweeks in the next two weeks and Bailey's going to be hard to handle.

Moore/Garcia...Really? I guess you might have forgotten about Roth. Roth has pinned Garcia twice and tech'd in twice. I don't think he has even scored on Roth. Don't see him getting past Roth. With that said I do see a Moore/Roth final. That match is going to be a fun one to watch...if Roth decides to bring his A game.

I will say this about Kraezig,Wells,Jacobs.Aj has wrestled all 3 several times.I know how kids match up means alot but with that being said, he says Kraezig gives him the most trouble.Kraezig sometimes has a confidence problem, district he looked a little nervous for a while, but region I thought he looked awsome.I hope they all bring it because it will be fun to watch.

Kraeszig and Jacobs in the semis will be a good one. As the defending State Champ, I gotta think that Jacobs beats Kraeszig, then goes on to beat Wells in the finals.

Yes A previous title is good but whats that mean for this year NOTHING! Not saying jacobs wont win, and im sure it will be a brawl, but I see Kraezig coming out on top. Rankings dont mean much when you get to the state tourny

I tend to disagree with a previous title meaning nothing. The pure experience of being on the big stage is huge. Jacobs has been there, handled the pressure, and came out on top. You don't think the kid across the mat doesn't realize that he is about to wrestle a State Champ? C'Mon man, seriously? They have wrestled twice this year and split 1-1. Wky is right, Ervin will definately be in the hunt as well. Good luck to all the kids.

i haven't had the privilege of watching Jacobs this year. Has he gotten better with his technique? I know he relied on the headlock in the past. He is a very good athlete and is very strong, but headlocks can only take you so far. He has tremendous potential and I for one am not denying he could be in the finals. I hear great things about Kraeszig. Sounds like, if anything else, this will be a very exciting weight class to watch.

Jacobs wrestled this summer with the Bluegrass Warriors. He had the opportunity to wrestle with some of the best in the state. He also went to few out of state tournaments. He's definately gotten better. Don't get me wrong, I think on any given day Jacobs, Kraeszig, Ervin, and Wells is a toss up. I can't wait to see how it goes. Should be fun.

After breaking down the 75lb class, I saw that Moore & Garcia are on the same side of the bracket. I think Moore will get there, however the top part of the bracket should be interesting, The Roth/Irvin quarter-final with the winner of that one facing Bender in the semi's. I think it will be Moore/Bender in that final. Bender is very strong and that should make for a great final, but in the end Moore should win it all. But I know we have all seen some crazy things happen at State!

At 70lbs, I hear Yenter is a beast but Whorton (N Hardin) was darn good and Hammond (Cald) was in control the entire match. Not sure of the final score, Hammond should make the finals and give Yenter a good match.

I agree Hammons will make the finals and wouldn't surprise me if he won.

Hammons 6-0 over Whorton in the region 1 finals.

70 lbs looks like a very difficult weight class this year, several state qualifiers from last year as well as new studs to the scene. Between Yenter (CC), Whorton (North Hardin), Hammons (Caldwell Co), Pledger (River City), Horton (Ryle), Tucker (Woodford Co), Bixler (Elkhorn), Sawyer (Fern Creek), that is a very impressive list. If Hammons beats Yenter, I would guess he would be in great shape for the MOW award since Yenter is the #1 guy at 70? Any thoughts on this?
