prpdad 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 In the late 80's and early 90's, Western had some very good wrestlers with 3 State Champs, at least 4 runnner ups and probably 10 or so top 6's. This was when it was a district and only 16 went to state and top 6 placed. We also tied for 5th as a team in 1988 and again in 1993, I believe.The State Champs and Runners Up to the best of my knowledge are:Tony Bowling - 1st 1988Chad Conway - 2nd 1988Earl Smith - 1st 1989Daron Britain - 2nd 1989James Elliot - 1st 1991Tim Hardin - 2nd 1992Kevin White - 2nd 1993 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
