Why would he decide to go up right before Regionals when he’s been at 126 all year ??

He wasn't able to go down until after Christmas (so up at 132 the first month + of the season).

132 might be a better weight for his body. He is a tall, slender guy. Think he could grow into a tough middle weight guy in college. 141-149 with his frame.

He running?

I wouldn't think of it like that. Dude is a legit contender in kentucky. It's a weird situation, because I hate it for the Raines they deserve good competition. But I can't blame anyone because they are on a different level. If this was Pennsylvania or new jersey then yeah we could say he's running.

Running would imply he hasn't wrestled and is afraid of wrestling him.  That's not true in this situation.  They've wrestled multiple times and Jordyn has gotten the better of him (as he does with 99.5% of the country).  It's not like there aren't challenges at 132, either.  The top end of most weights in the state are very competitive.

Is anyone else annoyed that some regions (1,4,6,7) are out but the other regions are hidden and will most likely be hidden until Saturday morning.

some regions have not held seeding meetings yet.

If they can still change their weights then that seems like all the more advantage they are recieving. If john doe is wrestling 144 all year but then bumps up to 150 for regionals, then kids from regions that haven't had the meeting will be able to change weights knowing which gives them the best path.

while that is technically accurate, anyone sitting around waiting for region brackets to pick their weight class isn't likely winning a title.  and with the semi-state weekend in the middle, bumping up a weight at the last second is very iffy just because a path "looks" better.

True. There’s not any big surprises in region 1, but if the Raneys dropped, there would be a lot of last minute changes.
