Ryle did win section 2. GC beat CC in semifinals. Conner lost to Ryle in semis. GC conceded to Ryle. Conner is challenging for true 2nd. Have to work out a date for dual to take place. This was the last I heard on this. I may be wrong.

We were supposed to wrestle at our place yesterday but were informed last week by Conner that they were shutdown for 10 days for COVID so they conceded.

Section 1 in small school is going to be interesting.

Paducah Tilghman did not show up. Union beat Caldwell 66-5. Caldwell is not going to the state duals. Interesting to see how this situation works. Can never trust Paducah to show up, and if they do, will they even bring their full team?

It means Tilghman is still in.

My guess for seeds and pools for small school state duals.

Seeds:
1. Union Co
2. Harrison Co
3. Martin Co
4. McCreary Central
5. Larue Co
6. Spencer Co

Pools:
Pool A: (1) Union, Boyd Co, Wayne Co
Pool B: (2) Harrison, Paducah Tilghman, Taylor Co
Pool C: (3) Martin, (6) Spencer, Boyle Co
Pool D: (4) McCreary, (5) Larue, Walton Verona

Just a complete guess, with the section runner ups thrown in at random opposite their sectional winners.

Small School seeds should fall like this:

1. Union

2. Harrison

3. Martin

4. McCreary

5. Larue

6. Spencer Co

I couldn't find any common opponent or head to head between McCreary or Martin.  I guess Martin County's overall dual win percentage is higher than McCreary's. I know McCreary has a win over Boyle, while Boyle has a win over Larue.

Yes, Small School will have some really good match ups early on in pool play.

Always liked when the big and small school events were combined and the winners from each wrestled. See if the small school team has a chance against those big schools with higher enrollment.

When you get to the top level of both small and big I don't think it matters.  The top small schools usually have large programs therefore the enrollment doesn't make a difference. Just look at Paris Graham in Ohio, public small school that competes nationally every year. Have an enrollment of about 600

Larue and John Hardin dual Wednesday, that should settle that section.

I believe Taylor has beaten JH, Larue has beaten Taylor,  so if Larue beats JH, Larue should be the 1 and Taylor 2.  If JH beats Larue then it will be interesting trying to figure the 1/2 out.
