Sarah White 1 Report post Posted December 23, 2021 I asked this question earlier this year because Spatola Wrestling did the same thing. The information I was given was that you had to go on USA wrestling and pay the fee to charter a club then the coaches had to go through the USA wrestling coaches background check and training to get their coaches card and that was all. There is a fee to charter the club (I think it was $80) and a fee for the coaching card but from what I could gather it was pretty simple. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Coach Matt 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2021 Coach Burton, Exactly what Sarah has said. I would also contact the Middle Schools Athletic Director and work very closely with them. It is important to have the School staff on your side. The Athletic Director should be able to help you with other things needed. Working with their AD may also give you access to school facilities for Practices, and the school may even help or fully purchase mats, singlets, and all that good stuff.
