coachteater 70 Report post Posted October 20, 2020 At our clinic a few great questions were asked. Mark Shumate of the officials association got with Mike Barren (wrestling commissioner) and got the answers. 1. 10' between circles (not mats) 2. Wrestlers are permitted to wear masks 3. You may have exhibition matches
grappler-of-old 44 Report post Posted October 20, 2020 What about the cleaning of mates after each match. That is dual not individual correct.

As for individual tournament there is no guidelines, but I would suggest every hour- hour and a half. That would be around the same amount of matches as a dual
GentleBeard 145 Report post Posted October 22, 2020 So cleaning mats between each match at a dual, but not for individual tournaments? It seems like a lot more contact with more teams will take place at individual tournaments than an individual dual? Any word on why the discrepancy?
grappler-of-old 44 Report post Posted October 22, 2020 Must clean mats after every dual. (Not match). Guidelines for individual tournaments is not clear yet. State KHSAA definition of a match is one team vs another.(Or what we commonly call a dual) Definition of an individual match by KHSAA is a bout. (or what we commonly call a match) LOL kind of like translating French to English LOL
