Raider rumble is IMO is one of the best tournaments of the year. Should be some very exciting matchups.

OK call me old and senile. (many have) But isn't the ironman a high school event and not a USA event.  If so then the choice in not the wrestlers if they can or cannot go to this event.  The school would have to pay for the entry fee the travel there and the such.  Not to mention the teams now having a varsity team at 2 events on the same day. That means 2 event points off their schedule.  And if its a 2 day event that means a day of school missed. Another problem the school may not look kindly upon.

And shame on haters for trying to blemish such an.accomplishment by questioning why kids were not elsewhere at a tournament that shows disrespect to Ky wrestlers to begin with.

First-

Big Thanks to Ryle, Coach Ruschell and his group for always putting on a great event. The competition of this event is awesome solid and the tournament is always ran very smoothly. Dave Johnson does a great job on keep this event running on time and is very organized. 

Walton had a good weekend. Although we were missing our 285/220 pounder due to ACT, we were able to be competitive and had a good showing. A lot of great teams this year at the Rumble and it was a battle all day. We were fortunate and lucky enough to come out on top. I can tell you this, our thoughts weren't going into this tournament as to "WIN IT", we have our kids focusing on getting better each day and let the results play out as they will. Too many good teams this year. We are just trying to keep these guys healthy and focusing on one day at a time! Once they start looking ahead, this is when you come up short. 

Now to close the IRONMAN talks: We had four kids invited: Moore, Roth, Smith and Mulcahy. We chose to keep the team together for every event this year. We have several seniors and a good group of kids and we want each week to be based on "TEAM" vs Individuals. You can disagree, but our kids wanted to stay together as a Team. That is what we have decided to do this year!
