Just a few thoughts i had while looking at this.

1.) At 132 you have Chase Wallace from John above Stiles Metcalf who wrestled earlier in the year, and on track it says that Metcalf ended up majoring him.

2.) At 160 you have Dalton Bell Below Griffin Dulak who also wrestled earlier in the year, Track says that Bell came out on top 8-4

3.) At 113 you have Troy Wooten from Fort. Knox below Ernesto Hernandez who wrestled this year, track says

Troy Wooten (Fort Knox) over Ernesto Hernandez (John Hardin) (Dec 14-7)

4.) Team race I still believe Larue will finally win it this year, and then john then meade

5.) at 195 Steven from Larue should definitely be over Jett from meade........but thats my opinion

You have it flipped, Granby. Stiles is the 1, Chase the 2.

Some more bold predictions with some upsets in the works. Meade County must know something that everyone else doesn't. Haha

TheLuchadore you can tell clearly you are associated with Larue one way or another by your ID. Instead of commenting on "Predictions". Lets see what you have. Just curious to see what you come up with. Also by the way if you are going off past results. Larue only won Team Dual events against John Hardin and Meade because they had holes in the line-ups (Starters out) at the time and gave up over 18+ points by each JH and Meade. I going off a 14 Man line up now. From what I hear now both John Hardin and Meade have very healthy Wrestlers. Don't get me wrong, Larue has some strong Wrestlers but after looking at their individual matches I really did not see any surprise wins. I want to say their toughest competitor was Wayne this year. A lot of Larue Wrestlers have Wins by Forfeits and some of the Starters lost some questionable matches. But this applies to all three teams.  Heck it wont surprise me if JH comes out on top, to be honest I lean more that way. But if you do the math under "my Predictions" Meade mathematically wins. Basically it will come down to the back brackets this year. This Region is going to be very fun to watch this weekend. Overall, the Team who wants it the most will walk away with the Regional Title this Year. I wish all Teams the best of luck.

Larue had 14 kids in both of the duals you mentioned, but it was not their full lineup.   Against Meade larue was without Bell and Bingham and had a couple 8th graders filling holes.  That's part of wrestling.  Glad to hear the other teams in the region are healthy.  Region 2 may be the strongest it's been in a while and once this tournament is over we go to state together and show em how strong our region is.  As far as predicting weights I would have a few matches going a different way than you have but could see much of what you predicted happening.  With 1 exception.  106, I see you've got your Perry kid winning it all.  Haven't seen him wrestle since December so you would know more than me, but I've seen Mattingly wrestle quite afew times.   I think mattingly could make a run at a state title this year.  I see Perry finishing 4th in that weight.  As close as your team points totals are I'm guessing that would have a big impact.  I'm not knocking your guy by any means.  Tough kid with a great record.  It's just a strong weight class.

I hope every team team stays healthy and brings their best effort for what looks like a battle this weekend.  I like LaRue's chances.  Hawks Forever

Someone got a little upset there Shady, take it easy bud. Like is it wrong for a fan to think his team should win, or to oppose someone who doesn't? This is all talk, wrestling will be the real deciding factor. Whatever happens, happens. As a fan I want to see some good wrestling. As you know duals don't decide a team tournament but if you wanna make excuses because teams don't have full rosters or whatever, that's your prerogative. Any coach will tell half the battle in Kentucky wrestling is filling a team, Meade does it well,  LaRue does it well, Central Hardin does it well. That's why Meade and LaRue have been 1-2 the past 2 years. They fill a roster. And God forbid a wrestler has a win by forfeit, that goes for every team some weights are just hard to fill and find matches. Ultimately you can't control if a coach will put a guy on the mat or not. Also according to trackwrestling placement scoring is done out 6th place, so a true indicator would be top six not top four.

No one got upset. If you knock other post. Post your own predictions.

You seemed a little upset there buddy. I didn't knock any of them just said they were bold, if that is an insult then my bad. I got mad respect for Meade County and John Hardin, they have some great wrestlers and coaching staff and hate that they have had the injuries/drama this year. I think you know it is going to be a fun region tournament with some great matchups. I will post my top 6 in awhile, with some of that mathematical math.

I think there could be some dark horse come through it about wrestling and what you have in the tank that day and how bad you want it should be a great turney to watch good luck to all

Didn't  Larues 126 get hit with biting ejection at state duals?  If so his suspension would still be in effect this weekend.  As far as teams go Meade county is poised to defend the region title, John Hardin brings a couple of the best in the state, this isn't a dual so Larues holes will show. 1 Meade

2 John

3.Larue

I believe it would be a 2 event suspension,  but according to trackwrestling,  theyvery wrestled twice since state duals. So I assume he's good to go.

I love the seeds set as a pdf. Hopefully someone will do that with region 1 if we can even see them before Sat morning.

Why did leak get the 1 seed over smallwood?

Win % was better. No head to head.  No common opponent criteria showing in track

My guess is winning percentage. Leak has only lost once, and according to Track it wasn't to Smallwood.

Should be a good region tournament with a lot of competitive wrestling.  Here are my predictions:

106
Mattingly
Hoppes
Garcia
Perry
Slight upset here but Hoppes is wrestling extremely well and I think he is poised to revenge his Garcia loss.  Mattingly is a potential finalist at state!

113
Miller
Morgan
Kirkman
Butler
I think it’s fairly open after the first two and again I see a potential finalist in Miller.

120
Insko
Miller
Haverstick
Philpott
The pending semi match between Miller/Haverstick should be close.  Would be crazy, but R2 could have three straight finalist at the lower weights with Insko here.

126
Grimsley
Nard
Hite
Medley
Places 3 – 6  are really wide open.  This weight class will be a factor for team race.

132
Metcalf
Wallace
Williams
Whitaker
Expect Metcalf to score bonus points for LaRue here.

138
Johnson
Davis
Thornton
Broich
Tip my hat to T. Johnson for staying here.

145
Young
Goodin
Jarrow
Tilley
Now that Trent is down this one becomes pretty wide open.  I see a really close finals match between these two.  Flipped my prediction multiple times.  Hoping I'm wrong and Levi goes out a champ! :)

152
Smallwood
Leak
Fuller
Johnson
Loaded weight class.  Both Smallwood and Leak have what it takes to make finals at state.

160
Bell
Nichols
Dulak
Lee
Bell is healthy and wrestling well.  This will be a tight bracket.  Could see any result among these four.

170
Williams
Bingham
Santiago
Lawrence
Mild upset with Santiago outwrestling his seed here.

182
Shantz
Page
Pierce
Brecker
Shantz should rack up valuable bonus points in this weight class.

195
Steven
Jett
Volentine
Mills
#1 vs #2.  Should be a good one.

220
Jones
Pratt
Wright
Miller

HVY
Shelton
Humphrey
Morriss
Holifield
The freshman pulls one out at heavy!

Team score
1.  LaRue
2.  Meade
3.  John Hardin
I think LaRue wins by more than people are expecting.  John and Meade are super close for 2nd.
