ThirdRound 32 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Cozart will be the #1 seed.......without a doubt !!!
Wrestling Dad 99 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Just curious, Cozart was one of those highly touted kids coming out of Brandon, Florida. How did he end up at LW? Not a criticism, because I think they got a steal in getting some very good kids - and I think they have a chance to place very high as a team if the brackets line up favorably for them. Ruff 2 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 Brackets should be out Wednesday. We do not seed the national tournament, but we are working on accomplishing that for next seasons national tournament. Coaches know the matrix, and have 16-man brackets where the top 4 from each regional are separated. We are waiting for the at large qualifiers (50 total) to be drawn in. Cozart left Iowa State after his redshirt freshman season planning to take a year off while searching for a smaller school that was closer to home. He came for a visit to LWC in September and committed about a month later.

ThirdRound 32 Report post Posted March 8, 2014 Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders.....5 All Americans so far.....Cozart and Bryant in semifinals......Mouinus,Gomez and Akui moving on for 3rd -8th.....Meyers had some horrible calls in quarters and in wrestlebacks.....should be there as well...tough day for a great kid.....Will be at the top next year ! Looks like they can stay in 4th place or move up. Should be tops in conference. Looks to be TOP GUN Kentucky team at NAIA Nationals by far. Proud of all Kentucky kids who just made it there. Great job guys !
braycael 9 Report post Posted March 8, 2014 Seen he lost in the medal round in overtime... I couldn't see or hear anything about the calls as I was on track, but my heart broke for the kid when I seen the result. What happened on the calls? From what I've seen and heard about Stephen, this will only motivate him more. Being a 3x all-American won't sound too bad when it's all said and done, I'm sure that's what he will be. Can't wait to follow him next season
Tarzan 21 Report post Posted March 8, 2014 He wrestled well lost to two studs by a point one in ot , never like saying stuff is bs because of the instant lash back but Stephen had a score in reg that was obvious that te ref did not give him and in the champion round they gave his opponent a reversal in the final sec that should haw just been an escape that would have sent them to ot . Either way some great wrestling Lindsey kids are good people gotta love em , very proud of Stephen he looke well and seemed to have no weight issues and composed himself well under circumstances most would not . Have to say Thomas is a stud as well thought he had the #1 ranked kid Crank he had him on the ropes and lost a close one . A long hard yr a long way from home and a long time in the sport to lose on some iffy calls but it is what it is , and what is obvious is Stephen can go with anyone .and he will have his day . Ruff 2 Report post Posted March 10, 2014 We did not accomplish our team goal, but a couple more national championship charts hanging in our room will ease the pain and provide more motivation for the future. Thanks to those of you who followed and supported us throughout the season. We will try to get to the top of the team standings again next season (I'm already busy trying to do that today). There is no off-season!
