A. Myers sure seems to win all of his close matches. That's a good sign for him.[/

Close matches 1 against a state runner up from Ill who lost state in OT and a 3-2 win against a state runner up from Indiana who was 50-1 on the year and who's only loss was to intermat top twenty Gaelen Robinson whom Austin beat last yr at NHSCA. And sorry when someone charges you bull rush style backing up is not stalling lol

And 3-1 or 2 not sure over beast of east runner up and NJ state runner up Chikonis at nationals last week.

Yeah wins over top kids in the country close or not is definatly good , but when you score the only takedowns sometimes its a whooping , the ill kid matched up great with Austin but he rode him like a dog and the Indy kid was very big and athletic and got out wrestled plain and simple ,

Three big wins over tough state finalists in two weeks and another over a 3r placer from FL , and both underclassmen yrs going undefeated in and out of season with two NHSCA titles and good runs at nat duals

Bring on the rankings , :) good wrestlers win close ones and can score and great wrestlers never break !!!!!!!

He sure seems to hav a lot that are not close 40 pins inn season out of 60 and 6 pins out of ten matches at NHSCA and NWCA nat duals ,

Good thing for him he has won them ALL , :) but watching him win the close ones is special ,he will lose some but win more he will improve greatly , he looked a bit out of shape as did some others he simply knows how to wrestle but has a few things to fix and has better D than anyone he wrestles , have up two takedowns this yr one he tripped and a ky boy jumped on him the other he was off to the side runni g a two on one and slid off and his opponent got behind , no one shot him no one got a real offensive takedown against him .

Keith I was just wondering how come the KY red boys didn't all get wins for the Ohio team up and leaving? If it wasn't an emergency that is total bs. Aj had a chance to go from 0-7 last year in middle duels to AA.(I guess HS is the same as middle school). He worked his butt off since last year and called me excited about a chance to be AA and they leave.

You think your son would be happy with AA if his last win was a forfeit ?

I doubt it

I have been to the Duals the last two years, but have never heard nor seen anyone being recognised as an All American for getting 4 wins. Maybe one of the coaches can clear this verify

A tough tournament with tough competition scattered around state placers and champs here and there excluding srs knocks out a large portion of top comp but a lot of srs chill / hide after the regular season anyway , hard to say the real effect of just having jrs and below , some of the better srs would surely come for a last shot at some mat time and exposure at a big tournament, but I guess there was plenty of opportunity for that last week !! Team Ky lost some studs last yr and next yr loses as much or more Brock Fausz One of the Lampes Courtney who pulled out a couple big wins in tough duals , I hate to really say it but I don't see The dual team being as tough as last yrs or this years team next yr , the gold pool is loaded and you have to win your pool to get in being top four this yr should give the team next yr a shot but if they lose a dual the first day chances are they get out of the gold into the silver and not even a chance at top five , Even with Boston on the team the duals would have ended the same this yr some nice wins but the teams that beat Team Ky did so fairly handily Ill has huge numbers and quality kids everywhere and Indiana Brings its best making it hard to best , A tough road ahead for Team Ky next yr a handful of studs gone from last yr and a couple more next , I think this tournament loses its luster for Team Ky next yr Unless some kids improve greatly perhaps a handful of kids rise up Lawson's could make the jump up and some of the lighter weights seem tough a few upper weights will return but are the same weights so it will not help !!! Either way a great showing the last couple yrs and a possible nice run next yr as well . A fun tournament , not overcrowded and awesome facilities pools of four the first day and five the next makes it almost perfect not a meat grinder but you want what you came for as well .

I didn't know this tournament even recognized anyone as AA , I guess it's a USA organization AA ,

So there is NHSCA AA as has been the case for yrs the one to determine Senior All Americans !!

USA AA from nat duals

Flo AA

Out west nat AA last week, forgot what it was called Trae won it though , congrats to him !!

And the big one Fargo .

To many AA to worry about ,

Inmo I say NHSCA is great for srs and grade level AA and keeps that monicker , and Fargo is where real AA are crowned , flo is its own creation the tournament out west is as well , Nat duals AA should be recognized as that an AA from a dual meet , you can't wrestle all the best kids at your class your team determines where you go if you win your pools of course you more than likely wrestle the best but its nit a tourny so you could miss the best guys where as in a tourny setting you are bound to hit at least one or so of the top 5 if you intend to place !!!!Dont know if forfeits count as wins but probably should as for a team leaving all those matches should count as forfeits or in other words the whole dual should and if not , it seems another team might add a dual and the tourny would allows those matches to be counted towards an AA performance if it is considered an AA qualifying event , better to bend the rules to add wrestling than to harm a wrestlers chances to climb a ladder or personal ladder because of a misfortune ,

Real AAs are earned at Fargo and NHSCA both being established over time the others are tough tournys but it seems something being around less than a decade cannit hold the weight of tournys with long histories AAs at duals have always seemed odd you AA as a team or for wins and if its for wins how the heck can you really feel like a true All American when you might not wrestle any quality kids unless your in the top Pool , I don't know what do High schools consider AAs most with good wrestling background look for sr AAs Fargo or dream team stuff , just earn it at Fargo and no one can deny your abilities no one any where an 8th place at Fargo is equivalent to a state title or better in most cases there is no comparison , so Otto bring all your buckeyes out to North Dakota and central regionals so ATM can teach them the art Of 5 ,

Ill kid was very good defensively Austin got a stalling on him and escaped in the second , it turned into a big boy match with him riding him out after some scrambles and a Bloody nose for ATM :) thought he might give up and let him up and go for the stalling point with some pressure but he didn't probably best kid was good and had decent d just backed up a bit he was actually smaller than Austin , talked to him a great kid lost state in ot he said . He complimented Austin very impressed by him and his attitude , didn't see what kind or how good his offense was because Austin is a ninja turtle ,

The Indiana kid was very big taller and fairly thick and athletic as Heck for a 220 he took a couple shots Austin hipped in he couldn't finish , a ninja turtle with gorilla hips , Austin pressured him got a takedown at the end of the first I think and escaped quickly in the second if I'm remembering correct , kid rescaled Austin in third they battle a little maybe some blood time here r there Austin got a stalling call on him then the kid straight up charged him Austin doing the only thing he could backed up and the ref gave the kid a point then they locked up a but and it was done , Austin has beaten the state champ and the runner up in Indiana at nat duals now :)
