Coaches and parents, Here is the flyer for the Union County summer camps. I've put a few names for clinicians on the flyer, but as always we will have an army of coaches and athletes from all levels of college wrestling. We have commitments from Illinois, University of Missouri, Little Rock, Siue, Bellermine, Ohio State, TWA, Oklahoma and Penn State. I want to take a moment to publicly thank the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches Association for a very generous donation to help differ travel cost for Jordyn Raney and myself to travel to Istanbul Türkiye for the U17 Greco World Championships. Union County will be hosting two camps this summer. Great camp and always a lot of fun fishing and camping.

You can easily run a 32 man bracket with all the bells and whistles and be done in one day. Middle School has proven it for the last 3-4 years. Even in 2020-2021 at the height of Covid protocol. Look it up. here’s what you need. 10 mats, start at 8:00AM sharp. Run it on track open mat available. NO BREAKS IN COMPETITION UNTIL AND ONLY FOR BREAK DOWN OF MATS AND FACE OFF. This has been done for several years now at the middle school level. That’s a fact can not be disputed. I forgot to add in my first post 32 man brackets that are SEEDED

You don’t even have to go out of this State to see a better ran State tournament. KY middle School State in an arena, 32 man brackets, face-offs, single Matt finals, podium for placers, proper awards, bracket boards, and done in one day. The problem is the over management of The KHSAA. They need to set the guidelines and rules then get out of the way and the the coaches run the HS State Tournament.

This was a great tournament well ran, top competition, great venue and a super Hospitality room! By far the best collective effort of officiating at a Kentucky tournament I have ever witnessed in my opinion. Well done to all the officials!

Athletes must be Birth years 2006-2007 and a KY resident. The difference in medals and bracket boards from HS State and Middle School State. Quite a difference to say the least. If it were not for the coaches association there would be no bracket board. I do appreciate what the coaches do but the State should provide Quality bracket boards. The medals and sashes aren’t Even Close!

If you would like to reserve a cabin contact Coach Robert Ervin at 270-997-0203 Coaches and parents this is possibly the most unique wrestling camp in the county. In the evenings after training everyone hangs out at Moffet Lake Camp grounds camping and fishing. You can check three boxes at once, high level wrestling camp, camping trip, and a fishing trip. I have been bring the twins here since 2013 it’s a week we look forward to every year. Make no mistake these are tough camps filled with lots of hard drilling and live goes. In the evenings it’s filled with fun activities, camping, and fishing. These camps attract some of the top talent in the State and Country both at the Middle School and High School level. Come learn, share, drill and mix it up with some of the best in the State KY

I have been approached by the coordinators of the Midwest Bragging Rights, to put together a High School team to represent KY in this event. This will be a High school event only for KY.
