I feel like the season just started, but kids have 24 pins already.

Do any teams have fun with their duals? Throw out tee shirts, announce names and records, use the spot light? I feel like most just try and get it over with.

It’s not talked about enough. It’s expected in this sport, but not always shown. My friends and I all noticed a kid that was dominant and gracious at the same time. He pinned an opponent and helped him up. He wrestled a great match in the finals and shook his opponent’s hand and even hugged him. Caleb Mayes showed he is to be feared at 144 and that he is a great kid.

It’s nice to see the high school hammers from a few years ago are back to build the next generation.

If you think Ky State is great, do not watch Indiana or Iowa. I love this sport and love following it, but I’m not that excited for state. Being packed in a high school gym for 2 days with all the breaks for no reason and people standing in your way at the rail. I really can’t understand why it can’t be changed to somewhere more accommodating. I’m afraid it’s going to be much bigger this year. I was at Atherton and saw standing room only at Ryle. It’s gonna be a mess. Anyone else feel this way?

I can’t understand how basketball has them all tied up. It’s 2 days. Just play an away game that weekend or play Sunday.
