Curious as to what happened to the Adams wrestler from Christian Co who won the state title last year. I thought he was a sophomore or junior - he didn't graduate did he? Move out of state maybe?

Sorry, wasn’t aware that was a forum rule. Didn’t mean to insinuate anything by it, just was genuinely curious and intrigued, as Dr. Baker said. I have no dog in the fight, just a unique situation that is interesting to a fan of the sport. Apologies for touching on eligibility.

I realized that Nickal left McCracken to be AD at Tilghman and his assistant is now the head PT coach. Knew that. But how are some of these McCracken kids moving to PT? And retaining eligibility? Did I miss something? Sorry for being out of the loop, I'm down here in Tennessee and can't keep up.

Tennessee has gone to all Track with a digital bout board. Works well. Not sure about the internet situation, though.

Diddle Arena in Bowling Green might work, but no wrestling in the area either. Parking also isn't the greatest.

Still hate that Bowling Green doesn't have any wrestling programs. Third largest city in the state with 5 public high schools...I get that they don't want long drives to region opponents, though. No other county that touches them has a program, but neither does Union (they're special though, I know). Neither does Calloway County. Bowling Green schools could start a wave of programs around them forming. Don't know if/when we'll see it, though. Wishful thinking.

The way Tennessee does it is that you have to be a returning medalist AND region champ to get seeded. If you were a state champ last year but finish 2nd in your region this year, sorry. Drawn in.

I coach at a middle school in Tennessee. Our season runs from the end of October to right around Christmas. We give a 1lb allowance after Thanksgiving. It's counter-intuitive to tell middle school kids to stop growing. I don't make any of my kids cut weight. We will weigh at the beginning of the season and I let them choose which weight class they want to wrestle at, provided they are already within reach. I think an important aspect of the sport is making weight, so I want to introduce that to them (mildly) before high school. We have no descent plan or hydration testing, either. Wish we did so they could understand more...but honestly, most of 'em probably wouldn't anyway. Just my $.02.

Regalado was #4 in the state on Ranger's last rankings - McClain #17. So within the region, you're right. But on a state level, a much bigger upset than that. I get what you're saying though - most everyone realizes that McClain is a good wrestler.

What was the situation with Micah bumping to 160? Was it to avoid King, I assume?
