  1. I believe it was Levi Goodin previously at 152 that beat that beat Griffin Dulak at 160 at the dual last weekend, I could be wrong. It was a good move on Larue coaches part either way. Thanks for your time in putting the rankings together Ranger!
  2. I will be the first to congratulate Noah Duke and all the wrestlers. I had made a comment on the 10% rule that some complain about. It was only to say a little weight doesn't matter and that my son chose to drop to 130 for hopefully a chance to avenge a loss to Micah Erwin in a weight class that you could see still had all of the top ranked kids still in it. 140 obviously still had Lawrence and Bodenbender but everyone else in between that were mentioned earlier in the rankings went to different weight classes or were not there at all. 150 also had some studs along with all the other weight classes. For my son 130 seemed to be the potentially toughest class top to bottom not at all saying the top wrestlers at 140 &150 were not spectacular. I wish for my son to always learn from a win or a loss.

    Weight classification

The same one your son beat. Question would Bodenbender beat Duke both from Ryle? Smith just got on the charts at 130.

To all the wrestlers that really want to do better in this sport. I believe it doesn't matter about weight especially 10% . What they know about wrestling , their willingness to act on it and just never giving up. Will get them farther in wrestling and in life. Except and expect to always be challenged. I have an eighth grader and have just moved here from Illinois , he is chasing the challenge. Having started out wrestling the 140 pound weight class and having beat a top four ranked kid at 152. He probably would have had an easier run at a podium finish at those weight classes. But chose to wrestle at 130 for more competition, seeing that Micah Erwin and Slatko Skulijan had made a similar move at the high school level. Along with all the top ranked wrestlers still wrestling at 130. Win or lose we all have to learn from it or it's worth nothing.

    REGION 4 RESCHEDULED

Chris Duke made a good suggestion have 32 man brackets at State everyone competes that got this far. Or if one region reschedules they all do, safety first for our athletes.

    Region 1

The whole matter is the safety of these young athletes who all deserve the right to compete. To say we did something like this before is likened to continually touching something that burns you, it was wrong to have put any team in danger before and would still be wrong. Since region 4 is rescheduling they all should be. KSWA should make that happen.

Regional matchups your looking forward to!

At 130 Whitaker, Vlach, Gibbs, Coleman, Skulijan and Nelsen both moved down from 140 to 130 , they both placed first in their district. At 152 Stevens, Tomerlin & Horschler are ranked 2,3,4.

Region 1 will have a stacked 130 with four top ten ranked kids from 130 & two top ranked kids that dropped from 140 & one of them has beat three top ten ranked kids from 152. 152 will also have three kids making for some tough matchups.
