I saw some good wrestlers from strong regions get knocked out by the #4 wrestlers from "weak" regions. So I am not sure the "stacked regions" argument works so well. I do think it is clear that if you can choose between heavyweight and 200, heavyweight is a lot easier. Brandon Johnson is a beast, though.

That Brandon Reed of Iroquois has improved tremendously in the 220 class. He was just learning last year and he finished third in the Tournament of Champions this year, I think. He is going to be very good if he keeps it up.

Problem in getting kids names right in wrestling is you have tio go to multiple teams/sources to account for everyone. And how do you find them? No free time during the matches. In football or basketball, you ask someone from each team and you are done.

True. Plus, if they changed it this year because they had time, they would be pressured to seed it next years without the benefit of 3 weeks. Still think some sort of seeding deserves consideration but too late to change it now.

If the KHSAA does not/cannot change dates, I bet it would not be because Alltech would not refund the money. In my dealings with them, Alltech has been a great corporate citizen. Anyway, would the contract be with Alltech or the horse park?

FWIW, Indiana does a blind draw on most sports. You could have the state's two top-ranked football teams meet in the first round and a winless team get a bye. I don't laziness on the state's part to say it's "fair" so they don't have to put in the work and hear the bitching.

It's a policy for athletes. And Mikey is a super kid. I think Trinity has a leg up because StX also lost the No. 2 seed at 195.
