    2019 Cardinal Duals

Coaches, I would like to take a moment to invite you to the second annual Nelson County Cardinal Duals which will be held on January 19th, 2019 at Nelson County High School. This is a dual pool style tournament and every team will get 5 matches. Last year we were done around 3 o'clock. We keep things moving along to insure a good, quick day of wrestling. We are located in Bardstown, KY, which is about 45 minutes south of Louisville, and one hour west of Lexington. We had 8 teams compete last year and hope to expand this year. We are also looking for a team to fill a spot on our Senior Night which is January 30th. If you would like to participate in either event please reply via email (josh.conder@nelson.kyschools.us) or phone call at (502) 507-2422. Thank You and Good Luck this season! Josh Conder Head Wrestling Coach Nelson County High School

    Best Wrestling Mat Company

Our school district is allowing us to purchase a new mat for this upcoming season. I am a fairly new coach and only know of a few companies that manufacture mats. What are some of the best companies to purchase a mat from? I have already read the thread about Tiffin Mats. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Was just wondering if any local coaches have been, or are planning on attending this years NWCA Coaching Clinic in Fort Lauderdale? This years clinic is August 1st - 3rd. Im looking into attending but just want to make sure it is worth the travel.

    State Venue

Im pretty sure the KHSAA is under contract with the Horse Park. Not sure how long is left on the agreement, but changes need to be made if safety is really a concern of the KHSAA. I need to buy stock in allergy medication after this past weekend.

No Problem. The Region is now checking with schools about transportation issues. Should have a final plan around 3 o'clock this afternoon. My pervious post is what us coaches have been told so far.
