Prayers sent for that young man and his family, as well as his opponent as that kid was absolutely torn up over this event.

Good for you Brandon, good luck to you and your teammates. I grew up across the street from Iroquoise HS and have much respect and for my south end folks... Keep working hard and good things will happen! -
Bullet board material right here boys... Motivation for the freshman out there competeting at state that aren't on this list. Use statements/opinions like this to motivate you and push you forward to prove the nay-Sayers wrong... It's how our world is geared unfortunately. But the beauty of this is you can prove them wrong. Good luck to all of the wrestlers competeting at state, the un-recognized freshman as well as all of the upperclassman!

Mr. Krebs, all I can say is I am sorry. I obviously misspoke and am man enough to admit when I am wrong. The point that I was trying to make obviously was misconstrued in my typed words via my pride and ego taking over. I will pray for your son and his recovery. I was wrong and apologize for my unfortunate error in judgement. It will never happen again. Wrestling is an amazing sport and like all sports today sometimes gets ruined by the parents pride and ego. I have always tried to not let that get in the way of my kids athletic accomplishments but have obviously failed in this particular situation. Lesson learned. Again, I sincerely hope and pray that Brad recovers and competes in the state tournament that I know he has worked so hard for.

Very we'll said... It was a great day! Very we'll organized and executed! My boy just placed 5th but could not stop talking about how big the medals were! Keep up the great work, more athletes in KY will figure out how special the sport of wrestling is...

You Know Your a Wrestling Dad When...............
Morrison Ave replied to zaniac's topic in Youth Wrestling
Mr. Smith, this is Kent Darbro, Kaden's dad... I wanted to get your contact information this weekend but forgot in the excitement of the moment at the end of the day. I would love to connect our boys for some training sessions this spring and summer... I enjoyed watching them compete this weekend at state but what was even cooler was watching them talk and laugh with each other while waiting for their medals. I think wrestling is the only sport where two kids can go out on the mat and try and kick each other's ass and still respect each other after the competition. Anyway feel free to email me at kdarbro@gmail.com. We have family in Northern KY and would love to meet up for some training sessions this spring and summer... Congrats to Mason again, he wrestled like a beast this weekend but more importantly... He carried himself like a Champion! -
Sorry, not blaming you, I'm new to this wrestling stuff... Imma football guy but I'm falling in love with this sport! I love watching the kids compete, one on one... Monoe e monoe... No matter what, someone walks off of the mat with their hand raised... It's pure and unapologetic!

Wow, thanks for the compliment, "pretty good"... Hopefully our boys can live up to that humble recognition from this expert panel of wrestling experts/pundits. Again... Looking forward to the kids showing the rest of the state that our boys are slightly better than "pretty good"... We will see... and again the kids will write the script, not the opinionated sideline moms and dads... Oh, and thanks for noticing 2 of our 15+ "pretty good" kids... See ya at State!
