I wish I could like this!!

The key obsticle this state faces in the off season are the high school Coaches themselves. When rhe wrestling season is over, emails are not answered, request for participation falls on deaf ears, and extra help making things happen is absent. This doesn't apply of course to all of our coaches, but the vast majority of them. Some of them even tell their wrestlers to not participate!

That seems logical...make them cut 2 extra pounds twice before they get the allowance. Really doesn't support the argument that you are trying to make.

There has been a poll for this at least once in the last few years, but I'm thinking it's more like 2 or 3 times. They were official polls that mattered. And the elimination of the 2 lb allowance was defeated each time. This isnt about cutting weight. That argument is just the catalest to try to make certain kids stay in the higher weight class away from other kids that want to win the state tournament. That has been the underlying factor every time it has been put on the ballot!!

There is no AA status for the Ironman.

Why not? World of Wrestling, & USA both rank them.

USA Wrestling does only require a 15 minute break between matches. So this is left to the discretion of the tournament director. But all post season tournaments will be run according to the rules that were established by the committee. This is the same as it has always been.

There have been multiple inquiries about attending without membership. Membership will be required and checked.

It is behind the Jefferson Mall across from Target. You will need to bring a laptop, tablet, or ipad to follow and get the most out of the training. Kentucky Wesleyn and Midway are starting programs. We may be able to gain womens programs as well. They need help purchasing mats. They plan to begin wrestling 2018-2019 season. Any help with this cause would greatly benefit Kentucky wrestling.

Fact is, unless you have an incredibly athletic individual, chances are they are going to struggle their first season no matter how much they are getting training, & no matter the style. If every wrestler or coach that struggled their first few outings quit because they were struggling or weren't familiar, we would have a folkstyle situation that would resemble our Freestyle & Greco situation.

Freestyle & Greco Roman are already battling folkstyle during Freestyle & Greco Roman season. Not sure its in our best intrest to try to battle them during folkstyle season.

We really haven't got a choice. We are more than capable of competing at a very high level.

There was a year when the cost was $0. We had more wrestlers this year than we had that year. And annually, the cost to wrestle in Fargo is cheaper for our wrestlers than almost any other state.
