First, if the ref didnt award teh points then in his opinion they weren't earned. Its not like the kid got a takedown and the ref forgot to give the points. Its like saying a guy got fouled in basketball, then in the 4th period when he gets his 4th foul you start arguing he has 5 because you think he committed a foul earlier. Second, most wrestling tournaments barely have the ability to have table workers and people who can keep the score correctly. Dont think this is true. They roll the hs ones up and take them out after the finals. The grade school tourney brings in 10 new ones. The reason it wasnt all moved around this year is so the fans wouldnt know it was time for the finals to start. They had a bunch of injuries from people throwing things last yr. They wanted to start the finals wothout all the comotion while the mats are being rolled up.

Your wrong. The clock resets its self to one minute automatically going into overtime. The ref was in between the two wrestlers, pointed to scores table, blew the whistle then blew it again to give the caution. Their are no breaks in wrestling for coaching. He also didnt say he cautioned before the stall call, that would be impossible. The stall call is what sent it into overtime. Then getting ready to start overtime the kid put his foot on the line and his hand on the ground which isnt allowed. Just like if a kid gets in referees position wrong before the second period. Second period hasnt started yet, but its still considered second period for the penalty. .

Im confused by the list. This weekend I thought Region 8 hosted the region duals at Johnson Central and Wayne Co. It was my understanding one was for large and one was for small schools. This list has 4 region 8 teams all listed under small schools. Did I miss something?

Hows the support at the school? I know Dingus is a good coach, but it seemed like hus numbers were always low. Hard to put anything together with low numbers.

I also think the finals is an exception to the celebrating and acting like you've been there before sayings. Lets face it, most havent been there and probably wont ever be there again. Its not like you won a normal tournament. This is a tournament most kids have been pouring there life into for 8-10 years. I say celebrate however you want as long as you dont direct it at your opponent. I also remember the woodford amd st x actions a few years back. While close to the line, i still think it makes for some exciting finals.

I think its common sense that its meant during the match.

Its meant while wrestling. Not after the match. When a wrestler has a single leg picked up, the def wrestler can not do a backflip to free the leg. To many kids were gettimg kicked in the face.
