If I had the coaches I would send my kids.

It does not increase the numbers.... It increases the profits for KHSAA and also doesn't require teams to stay in Lexington for 3-4 days. It really does not save money on transportation as woodford and anderson are traveling to union. I can understand they are trying to mitigate risks of covid but this yr it makes no sense as UK and everyone else has been wide open with full attendance. Id like to see it change back to a 32 man bracket after next yr and the new venue in lexington be the host to the tourney.

I believe he's not the only one there. I cannot wait for his story to come out. Talk about not giving up on yourself.

After the yr is over I am going to speak up during the zoom meeting to propose a change. We cannot expect a young kid who is getting into the sport to last from Nov-Mar. I get it you have serious kids about competing but again this is Middle School. There are PLENTY of opportunities in surrounding states to get matches. If this extended season mess continues, we will see a decline in participation. I know in the western part of the state has seen a significant increase and I am afraid if the ridiculously long season continues we will see a decrease in #s. Shoot I am going to be missing a part of my team because of spring break starts MS Region weekend now.

really MS needs to go back to ending prior to HS season. This season is WAYYYYYYYYYY too long.

Coaches, Parents and Fans- Many are wanting and have been calling for KHSAA to sanction girls wrestling. The state has recently sent out their triennial survey to every county in the state. Many have stated they want to know why it has not happened. The state has to do the triennial survey before adding a sport. So how can you help? Easy, contact your AD and Administration and tell them to put girls wrestling as a sport they would like to see added. This is how we can make this happen.

I don't think people realize how much it will take off when it becomes sanctioned. Some areas are awaiting sanctioning to add a girls team because they need more coaches to have a girls team. I've heard this from more than one coach talking about it.

I don't think they will answer this until after it is sanctioned.

Why?????? Moving pieces around helps the team. No one can force someone to drop buddy. It's a decision of the family/kids and coaches. Chill out karen

I saw that too. I thought maybe it was oversight but I went and looked at other sports. It's all the same "adopted" for 2021-2022. That's why I pose the question.

It should be clearly defined not left open ended. Just like the 30 second break last yr. Left open ended and would be taken advantage of when teams were gassed but when they weren't they did not use it.....
