I will also say this as a coach... Ranger does a lot of the hard work for some of us who are on an island in the west that do not know who 3/4 of the kids in the north. I have always appreciated Ranger's work. The year we all did it together was challenging but a lot of fun.

TN is doing a Who's #1 in the middle of FB season too. Union hasn't participated in any of them if memory serves correctly.

Also the Coach Marshall Patterson Memorial Coaches Award: This award is awarded to the wrestler that was a no nonsense person who came to work hard everyday and Sacrificed himself for the betterment of the team. This individual did not cut corners and represented the Fort Campbell wrestling program with integrity. I started the 2nd one when Coach P passed away as a way to honor the first head coach for Fort Campbell.

Here's another picture. very much a larger dungeon vibe. only issue I can see is hotels in the area. but for a venue to meet the needs of wrestling and the growth with girls sanctioning looming. This venue had the spacing, available mat spacing and potential accommodations.

I am calling BS on it being sent out to everyone. I see your time stamp and can't argue it. But the LAST meeting numerous of coaches received was from September. The Dec meeting was never sent out to the entire state. I searched my email for 2 days over it. I was also told today we would receive an email with a state update but yet to receive it. im sorry it's incredibly unprofessional to say it's my fault I don't receive an email from the board. It's the responsibility of kfwc to notify the entire state in multiple platforms. If distribution is an issue then maybe it needs to be reviewed of the way things are distributed instead of make an excuse saying it's been put out it's your fault you missed it. I'll plead ignorance if I missed it but when I call 6 different coaches from different parts of the states asking for info and they don't have it. That's an issue.

I do agree we need some sort of eval system but that's a good way to get things going forward but if you take out some of the guys who have no business in the game then some areas of the state have 1-2 refs to cover 1 entire region. Someone I suggest, is more assistant coaches or lay coaches get their certification. I know we did it and will continue to pay for our coaches to get certified moving forward. For us to get to a better situation why not some of the teams with 8 coaches get them certified to help with the problems.

I totally can I 100% think you all are missing out if you haven't watched Alex Green's video series. I have heard numerous stories about some of the guys he's covered. But seeing them under the lights changes my opinions. The Merritt video under the lights is chilling with the Dungeon atmosphere.

Look I will tell you all right now.... If you guys want to give reffing a try I promise you will get humbled pretty quickly. You may "know" the rule book but I can promise you that you don't know every detail to every situation. I have 22 years of experience in this sport and learned very quickly toss it out the window. It is totally different in the heat of the moment. Did I get ripped some yes, I did. Did I miss calls, yes I did. Did I have a few bad calls, yes I did. But that's all apart of it. No one will make every call correctly. We strive too, but the potential for human error is there. That's apart of it. Will we still rip officials? Probably so, that goes on for years. But until Elon Musk develops a robotic referee why not try to help eliminate the issues and be apart of a solution. Talking behind the keyboard is one thing... Actually doing it is another. I can tell you that officials are needed! Instead of complaining about it, get online next fall and sign up. I know they will appreciate the extra help. It will save some from driving 4 hours to a tourney and going back.
