Blake wrestled a pretty solid tourney at regions but he has been wrestling great all year. Brent Hudgins is a tough kid and he should be proud for placing at 113. Shoot I don't even have any affiliation with him and I'm proud if the kid. Great job

I was there but I didn't I see what happened. All I saw was the Stacy kid from SC look to get upset then sit in the middle of the mat for a minute then the ref come over and raise his hand. What happened?

Griffith was wrestling with something in his knee torn. I think it was his MCL. He couldn't use that leg at all. McCloud was 5 seconds from being in the finals. One bad decision cost him a shot at the finals.

I agree 100% with your post. I think it's going to be tough to make this team should be great competition there. If Blue makes it were looking forward to the journey with everyone.

Coach After speaking with our Principal and Superintendent we have decided that the Region will go on as planned to wrestle at JCMS with weigh-ins starting at 10:00 am, saturday January 25. With wrestling being a winter sport weather is one of the things that we have to contend with, with that being said I hope that all teams can make it safely. It is recommended that if you are traveling at any distance that you stay the night before. With schools being out on friday we are giving the extra one pound allowance. Coaches I ask again that you bring all alternates so we can fill all brackets. I agree 100%. Technique wins out I'd say 75-80% of the time. But if you can put both together you create a beast. Just from personal experience JJ Jude was great at both. I know there more out there but I watched JJ everyday at practice for 2 years and he was great at both which created a beast.

Almost everyone in the gym stated that the Youth behaved in the way that JCB has described. Not just Johnson Co people, but folks from other schools (at least people from 3 other schools) also stated that they observed him winking, blowing kisses, screaming like Ric Flair, etc. So I think it's a non-issue wether he acted like that or not. To many people saying the same exact thing for it to not be the case.

Sounds good Ky should be able to field a good group of kids to compete in these tournaments. I for one am glad Ky has decided to field these teams.

Yes I've watched Smallwood. Saw him this past weekend. No doubt the kid is a great wrestler and if he and Gamble get to wrestle it should be a great match. I like throwing some upsets in there. Because they will be upsets.

Yes I seen him point to his father for a second after he had a tough match. He just wanted to share that moment with his father. I didn't see anything wrong with that personally. I didn't see his pointing as someone trying to showboat. As far as him carrying his self, are you talking about him walking around with a hood on his head before his finals match. He is a kid that gets into the zone before a match nothing more. But if you knew the kid you would understand he is the farthest thing from a Hollywood acting kid. He takes time for the younger kids in the community not only in wrestling but with football and basebal as well. He's always nice to every kid he spends time with and tries to help them anyway he can. I understand you just have that one day to judge him on. but remember you are still judging a kid and your comments may hurt a kid that doesn't deserve to be hurt by an adult on a message board. When that kinds nothing like tour describing. I wished you would have room a minute and spoke to Gamble that day. You would've understood after that minute that your assessment of his attitude was incorrect. Butbivebdone it also. Sit back and watch someone who maybe coming off in the wrong way. Or maybe you were just looking for a reason to dislike a good kid.

Most youth dual meets have both a age requirment 12u and grade cut off 6th grade. Not saying it's fair but that's how most but not all are ran.
