I’m not sure when it changed either but Blue wrestled in middle school state in both 2nd and 3rd grade. As for Dalton he’s stayed back once not sure which grade but he’s a legal middle schooler with the way the rules are laid out.

I know a kid who placed high (let’s say anywhere from 1-5) that said he’s going to take advantage of his supplemental year. Well the kid and his father both said a couple weeks ago if the bill past he was going to take advantage of it. I think we’ll see more than some people think who take advantage of it, especially in my neck of the woods.

Both weren’t DQ’d just the kid that was on bottom that had a elbow pounded into the back of his head. He retaliated and for that he was DQ’d. The other kid won the bracket.

If anyone knows anything about a certain referee and that semi-state sight today they could probably put 2 and 2 together and figure out why it was deleted lol.

I bet Region 8 won’t be out until the morning of. They never are for some reason.

As bad as it pains me, no he isn’t. He’s decided to focus on baseball and academics. I really miss him being on the mats.

He’s that big, he had to cut to get to 170. Blue and Nick workout a ton together and we’re around the same weight before Nick headed to Florida and cut. Great job Nick big things ahead for ya for sure young man.

Hearing Martin County got a big transfer. Looking like one can always go back home.

Niko Bussell will have a tough match in the second round with Devin Johnson. Johnson lost to Smith 2nd ranked kid 1-0 at regions.

They wrestled in Summerville Wv at the nation Guard Duals. JC won the tourney.

It looks like region 8 was a -4 this year. 2018 - 118 2019 - 114 If I counted correctly.

Region 8 had some really great finals matches. 106 was decided on a reversal with 3 seconds left in the match 126 a takedown in the final seconds aswell. 132 went to the final ride out. 138 was a barn burner that went to the final seconds. 182 was a great match that went to OT. Byron Pierce from JC was the MOW

On a side note JC put on a great regional. Having matches all day on the big screen in the gym was pretty awesome. Having the kids pictures and names and weight classes put up on a huge screen along with their finals match not only in the center of the gym but also going on the big screen was pretty great. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Congrats and good luck to everyone that qualified for state. Should be a great weekend.

Blue Fletcher wrestled in Paducah last year. Maybe not with Johnson County but we’ve traveled out there.

Frazier and Giompalo has only wrestled once this year to my knowledge. Giampola pinned Frazier at State Duals.

Rider from McCraken Co is the real deal. The kid is fun to watch.

Cowan is a top 5 kid for sure!

Johnson Central’s football coach is very much on board with promoting wrestling to his football players

Thomas vs Moore did not happen again. Thomas bumped to 113 and beat Peace. Foster over Gibson Duke over Mayer in OT. This is what I was told. So if I got any of it wrong my apologies.
