  11. Tomorrow night #15 Lindsey Wilson College will host #5 Campbellsville University in a battle of top 20 teams. Action begins at 7 pm CT in Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders will feature 5 Kentucky natives, all of which have been state finalists in their respective high school careers. This may be your only chance to catch so many Kentucky kids competing in a single dual meet, so if you're a KY Wrestling fan come enjoy the show. We plan on packing the bleachers and creating an exciting atmosphere. There will be free LWC Wrestling posters at the door, as well as merchandise available for purchase. Come help us make this dual meet into a can't-miss event! Admission is free. A tribute to Rashaun Graham will begin at 7 pm CT, with wrestling to immediately follow.

  14. Great post! Thank you for promoting Mid-South wrestling! Jacob Shirley of Lindsey Wilson recieved All-Conference honors, as well, and was named Co-Freshman of the Year. The release has been updated to include Jacob. We are very proud of his efforts Again, thank you for the post. Keep up the good work! -Coach Cross
  15. Hello Everyone, First off, thanks for viewing the thread. We appreciate your support! Second, I would like to give an update on our program: We have been wrestling a lot of tough competition lately, and we have been responding well. Our mat sense as a team has drastically improved, as has our scrambling ability and overall toughness. Moral has also skyrocketed since we have moved into our new facility! We currently have 9 national qualifiers who will represent the Blue Raiders in Oklahoma City; Keith Klink at 125 lbs, Brian Thompson at 133 lbs, Jacob Shirley at 149 lbs, Caleb Anthony at 157 lbs, Craig West at 157 lbs, Ryan Shank at 165 lbs, Kurt Wilbert at 165 lbs, Andrew Hairston at 174 lbs, and Zach Marshall at HWT. This past weekend we competed in the Mid-South Conference Duals. We came out flat against our first opponent, eventual champions #16 Campbellsville, as only Keith Klink and Jacob Shirley posted wins. Klink defeated 2009 4th place All-American Johnny Papesh 5-3. We then wrestled West Virginia Tech, who had only three guys wrestling, and won 54-0. Steven Rink at 174, Bill Semones at 197, and Teddy Furnish at HWT all picked up wins. Next we faced University of the Cumberlands in a heated back and forth dual. Brian Thompson (dec), Shirley (DQ), Caleb Anthony (pin), Andrew Hairston (dec), Jacob Ilg (pin), and Zach Marshall (dec) all picked up points for the Blue Raiders as we picked up another victory. We took some lumps, though, and could not wrestle a full lineup against #11 Cumberland University, who would go on to beat us. We ended the day with three All-Mid-South Conference wrestlers; Keith Klink at 125 lbs, Jacob Shirley at 149 lbs, and Andrew Hairston at 174 lbs. Klink also earned Academic All-Conference, and Shirley was awarded MSC Co-Freshman of the year! We walked out of our first ever conference tournament with a third place finish. We are very proud of our guys, but the work never ends. We are back in the room working hard every day, trying to be champions!
